# Meebits : The Anime by [Atrium] - PropHouse Round 3

## TLDR
Ever wondered what the world of Meebits would be like reimagined as a well-known anime classic?

We are proposing to commission Atrium to create a two-part (1min each) anime short; co-created with the Meebits community. In a space that is continually captivated by content we invite the Meebit community to begin to explore what it would mean to be transported to the realm of anime. One of Atrium's strengths is showcasing the different types of worlds we find our characters in, and we hope to begin that journey with you soon.

### Wait, what is Atrium?

**Atrium.art** is a crypto-native network of independent artists and creators. Disciplines represented on Atrium currently include Screenwriting, Animation, Concept Art, Voice Actors, and Music production. Together, creatives on Atrium bring experience from Pixar, Marvel, Luma Pictures, Sony, Netflix and many more.

Simply put, Atrium is a way to easily piece together veteran talent to produce cinematic content.

## Who is the creator behind this anime short film?


Having a creator who understands the NFT space, the broader aspects of story, and cinematic culture is important when developing content that has the possibility to expand in the future.

In Phuncal's own words - "*My credentials as a creator consist of Animation Director, Screenwriter, Techno Music Producer, and Old film enthusiast. My original love was for painting, but developed a deep appreciation for film over time. This love of film is what has brought me to animation as I feel it offers so much in how you can tell a story. After graduating at BFA my experience led me to participate in the creation of a few animated films, commercials, and series that leveraged various artistic styles. In 2008 I established Shockunit Studio, dedicating its creation to the development and production of original projects. Now as I partner with Atrium I look forward to bringing the tools and resources I have developed over the last decade to help you create something memorable.*"

## General Process of Creation @ Atrium

The entire process is a feedback loop. We would be creating a special channel on the Atrium server where Meebits community members are welcome to join and follow along the milestones of the process:

- We would love to have some core Meebits members to engage in conversation so that the story stays loosely true to the canon & culture as necessary.

- The workflow starts with defining the script, motives and dialogs (if any) for the story. This involves defining shot by shot verbatim descriptions of what is happening on screen. A good story is a great script in the first step.

- After the script is done, we start to look for Voice actors who will help narrate / engage in dialog based on the script.

- Once the script is agreed upon, preliminary design and character works starts to happen.

- We will review the storyboard and invite feedback to the animatic via our communication channel. E.g. of a Storyboard below

- Once the animatic is locked down, the final animation work begins. This is the most intensive and time consuming process and takes the bulk of the later half of the creation cycle.

- After final animation is done - it is time for last visual effects, lighting passes, refinements before you start to map out the finished sound design artefacts.

- And then the final Reveal of the output (examples shared above). Final Output to premiere on social channels.

- We will be utilising the Story’s reach in terms of reshares / likes / social engagement as pillars for future work and success.

All inclusive production cost is proposed to be 5,000 APE. (Transferred to the Atrium Multi-sig upon execution)

## The Future

#### Episodic Mints:
Once the episode(s) come out and released for the community to enjoy [(learn more about minting episodic collectible content)](https://twitter.com/pbrianandj/status/1610695135414845440) , to create a self-sustaining flywheel curated together with Atrium, we would enable community members to collect the episode (Open editions) as an NFT minted primarily in $APE.
