# DAO Summoning
## DAO Vets DAO


The idea of DAOs is what got me into Web3. I’ve been involved in the DAO space since _The DAO_ in 2016, before becoming a full-time DAOist in 2019 by founding MetaGame. In my 7 years of XP in the DAO space, I’ve seen many DAOs struggle to reach their full potential & die.

It is well known that, 90% of startups fail. But in DAOs, this is further compounded by innovating on the governance front & experimenting with latest, often unfinished tools - instead of just building a good product* & finding users, which is hard enough on its own.

And the fact you can argue that DAOs aren't startups and the fact that DAOs can range from social clubs & co-ops to startups & investment syndicates - only adds to the confusion & difficulty of successfully building one.

This project is an attempt at gathering the brightest & most experienced minds across the DAO space, to aggregate their wisdom for the next generation of DAO summoners not to repeat our mistakes & reinvent the wheel.

Tangible outcomes:
- Talks, panels, workshops & AMAs
- A cohort of DAO summoners
- The Ultimate DAO Playbook 2024

The way its gonna go down:
- A few people will finish the outline
- We will find 2-5 people per topic
- We will gather 5-10 DAO summoners
- The sessions will go for 2 weeks starting in December
- Sessions will be recorded, transcribed & turned into posts
- "The DAO Playbook of 2024" will be produced
- All goes well, next year we do it all again for the 2025 edition
