# S.K.A.T.E: A Live Skate Film ![](https://i.imgur.com/3D2Osbm.png) :::info S.K.A.T.E is a world first LIVE SKATE FILM that's shot, edited and broadcast in real-time with professional skaters in countries across the world. A free film experience for the general public which can ONLY be watched live. This is a first of it's kind event and HERE & NOW will also sell NFT's which connect each holder to ownership of the vaulted recording that only they can rewatch or invite others to watch. Each holder will also be airdropped a GNARS oncyber gallery that we make. INside this gallery they can invite their friends and family to watch the film LIVE inside their own gallery for a social experience to remember. Our main goal for this is to create a sustainable model so we can push the format and continue making other live extreme sports films. Imagine live surf, or snowboarding films! ::: # GNARS COMMUNITY COLLAB :::info Making films that are experienced live involves a lot of moving parts and we want to bring the community in as much as we can. We will be on the hunt for skaters from around the world and we love any recommendations from the Gnars Dao Community. We want this to be a worldwide live skate film and what better way than to tap into the Gnars community and build a crazy roster of skaters to collaborate with. Each film will have around 5 skaters. Each of them in a different part of the world. Dave Bachinsky has confirmed his involvement and we look forward to more recommendations from the Gnars community. ::: # SPONSORSHIP / BUDGET :::info We are seeking a 8 ETH sponsorship to produce and deliver a world first live skate film in 5 weeks. The funding will be used to write, rehearse, direct, produce and stream the live film as well as build a unique purpose built oncyber cinema. We will be paying skaters and any crew with a combination of % of ticket sales and stipends from the initial sponsorship. Sales from our tokens will go into developing the next version of the film. We will give a percentage of ticket sales to the skaters and the Gnars Dao, and the remaining will be spent on developing the next iteration so we can keep pushing the concept. * 60%: Development / Production Costs for next iteration (Surf or Snowboarding) * 20%: GNARS DAO (as an example: over 4 films the initial sponsorship would be covered if we sold 200 tokens at .05 per film) * 20%: Skaters (distributed amongst the skaters) ::: # THAT'S GNARLY :::info If the live films can ONLY be experienced LIVE and the recording is owned and can only be seen by token holders of the film. Then how can we get the skaters themselves to benefit from the footage they shot? Enter That's Gnarly! We will isolate the best moments from each live film and send it to the skater who performed it. They can then mint those clips to the That's Gnarly platform to reward them further. ::: # WHAT ARE LIVE FILMS? :::info We dream of a new format of story-telling. One fit for a modern age.
