**Past and Present**

The Ambassador Program has been working for XXX years to expand the knowledge and accessibility of MakerDAO in LATAM. Although in the first stage the tasks were focused almost exclusively on the translation of documentation, the Program became more ambitious and broadened its scope of action.

During a second stage -which we are currently in- the Program aimed at creating a solid and rich set of materials and activities -previously nonexistent- related to MakerDAO, focused on a Spanish-speaking audience; among them we can include:

- Creation of the website https://latam.makerdao.com/
- Creation of educational content
- Informative newsletters
- Twitter Spaces
- Gestation of what will be the first MakerDAO Delegate emerged and formated in Latin America.
- Meetups, interviews and conversations with various players in the crypto ecosystem of the region.
- Official Twitter account for MakerDAO LATAM

Currently, the Program is staffed by three people: @Sebix, @Jose, @Harrizko, and has just incorporated a new contributor: @Pollo.

**Future Plans**

We are planning to execute a third stage of the Program in which this structure could be widened and deepened and, mainly, deployed in concrete actions oriented both to the qualitative improvement and expansion of the Spanish-speaking MakerDAO community and to the dissemination, promotion and education about Maker and its product -Dai- within the region. This goal will also require a careful approach and research of the different domestic realities in order to deploy the most convenient and efficient strategy for each one according to their issues and potentialities.

Thus, the cross axis of the Program is based on education and communication as the main pillar to disseminate MakerDAO and Dai; such dissemination, as well, will be articulated with a thorough study of the target population and will be aimed at different actors; for example: current and potential users, local exchanges, media, universities and other educational institutions.

Within this scope, translations of official documentation considered to be relevant by the different actors of the MakerDAO ecosystem will also be included.

Furthermore, we also hope that the rollout of the Program will allow us to serve as a catalyst for local talents and interesting projects willing to approach MakerDAO and add value, be it in the form of possible partnerships, branding, increased decentralization, etc.

**Vision**

At MakerDAO, we are currently undergoing a transitional period of great complexity but with huge potential for the future. We believe that this new stage represents another fresh starting point to exploit Dai's potential: its real ability to improve people's life quality; its capability to become the reference currency for articulating and conveying useful projects for the future, centered on regenerative finance and innovative visions.

The obvious choice for anyone seeking an unbiased, decentralized currency. In short: its ability to change the financial reality of entire societies.

Within this scenario, Latin America stands out as an essential region not only due to its increasing crypto adoption, but also because of the opportunities for insertion and profitable interaction it represents for MakerDAO: the number of potential future Dai users, web3 projects, fintechs, entrepreneurs and others. At the same time, and given the particular regional problems, MakerDAO and Dai appear as an attractive and emancipating option for Latinos.

The Ambassador Program seeks, in short, to place itself -through education, dissemination and catalyzing proposals- as an essential articulator to enhance this relationship -which, we consider, can become symbiotic- in the most efficient and mutually beneficial way for both parties in the future.
