# Girànii, flowers, proverbs and people to promote the Talian Language

The Girànii Talian Culture Group developed the collection 'Portraits and Proverbs' to preserve the Talian language in Brazil. The collection offers a daily post on WhatsApp since January 10th, 2017, and on Facebook since December 2018.

Since September 20th, 2020, weekly, it also starts the 'Parole Spring' collection. The Girànii Group is formed by approximately 20 volunteers from the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, and Paraná in the Southern region of Brazil. The work is supportive and voluntary, and all Girànii production is distributed for free. Additional collaborators already number around 150 people, some helping with proverbs or photos, others helping with both. The group accepts and calls the presence of who is not a legitimate holder, which starts to occupy space in the universality that The Language needs to build.

The proverbs convey advice, learning lessons, and life perceptions accumulated over many years. They survive by oral tradition and, when this tradition is threatened, it is imperious to look for new possibilities. Girànii bases its cultural action on affection and inclusion. The 'Portraits and Proverbs' takes part in the beauty of natural flowers to attract attention and to be pleasant. The bilingual text, in Talian and Portuguese, is a fast reading, provides affection, and remains visible and easy to be understood and shared.

The Talian is a language of Italian immigrants and their descendants in Brazil, inventoried and recognized in 2014 by the National Historic and Artistic Heritage Institute of the Ministry of Culture (IPHAN/MinC) as a Brazilian Cultural Reference Language. To publish the proverbs, participation credits are given to those who never had a name in 'culture', it includes and records who rescued and informed the proverb, who made the photo, who translated and wrote the proverb in Talian Language, and who made the graphic art. The collection 'Parole Spring' is an experience of the Talian use in little texts, in cultural and free themes. It wants to provoke the language used in today's routine, maintaining the participation guideline of those who are proficient and those who want to learn.

At last, it is like rebuilding a railroad track so that the train can go on again. And, in this resumption of the train passage, it is necessary to use it for new trips and to make other cultural plantings in the surroundings of your journey.
