# HDP Spring Overview **Harvard Dance Project [TDM 90DR]** is a production-based course focusing on professional movement exploration, choreography, and process. For the Spring 2022 season, Aysha Upchurch, Jeffrey Page, and LROD will be in choreographic residence with the enrolled company at the Harvard Dance Center. The Harvard Dance Project offers the enrolled company an in-depth experience working closely with choreographers’ diverse methods and practices in the dance production universe while simultaneously examining the intersections of dance and performance studies, choreographic processes, and intermedia. The Harvard Dance Project culminates in an end-of-term performance and production experience at Farkas Hall. Jessi is TF for HDP Spring 2022 and Bok MDF - she will take lead on this partnership. ## Film Project Jessi + LLUFs will be working on a 10-15 minute process film for HDP. Film objectives are to document: 1. **Creative process + product** - Filmed rehearsals + show - Interviews with choreographers about process - Select student interviews about experience - **Individual & collective learning shifts** - Student interviews at beginning & end of semester that track answers to questions aligned with course objectives - **HDP philosophy and aims** - Panel interview with LROD, Jessi, & someone from TDM leadership? ## Dance on Camera Workshop(s) for HDP'ers **February 28th:** HDP students will come to Learning Lab for a Dance on Camera/Choreography of the Camera workshop - we will play with technology (greenscreen, different lenses, etc) and give students an opportunity to choreograph behind and in front of the camera. Potential dates: Feb 28 or April 11 ## Dance on Camera Workshops(s) for LLUFs * Introduction to dance on camera workshop for all LLUFs: * Learn basic dance vocabulary * Movement *on* camera vs. movement *for* camera (aka - what is a "dance film?") * Replicate a dance film style of our choosing * Focused HDP filming workshop
