So I've been involved in crypto for a few years, got into things last bull run, towards the tail end. Didn't do the best there really haha. But hey, it piqued my interest in the space and my experience running a fintech in the non-crypto world inspired me to become a crypto founder.

Right so - the NFT space is new and constantly evolving. A lot of people are intersted in the space and don't know where to start or what actually has value.

At its most basic level, our approach allows users to stake their Raini tokens and earn points (rainbows or unicorns), which can be redeemed for NFTs. We've been curating a lineup of established artists to create unique NFTs that users will be able to redeem with these points.

As part of our platform, we're also developing what we call "Evolving" NFTs, which are NFTs that can change based on other inputs from the real-world. Giving NFTs a more dynamic flavour.

That's cool! Do you have some examples of the evolving NFTs?

Sure - there are heaps of potential example - for example using them as an interesting demonstration of data visualisation. For example - we could have a piece of art that is linked to the level of deforestation in the world, or the weather in an area.

Another could be a piece that ages as its history evolves on the blockchain (e.g. as it's bought and sold).

Or another could be a piece of music that reveals a new layer once it has reached a level of secondary market sales.

Right so, we are building a toolkit that will allow artists to create these pieces with a friendly UI. Think of something like Zapier but less complex and for NFTs, if that makes sense.

Haha yeah, I mean central to that is giving artists the tools to create new and innovative experiences - there's so much potential for innovation in the space.

We have had really strong buy-in from many of the artists in our initial lineup, but not all of them will be making evolving NFTs. It will be easier once we actually have the toolkit launched, and we're working closely with a couple of these artists to help drive the creation of the toolkit itself.

It's probably also important to note that we want to drive further value around NFTs on our platform, and to that end - certain NFTs in our lineups will have greater utility within our ecosystem - over and above their inherent artistic value.

What's your plan to drive value to the NFTs?

So we actually have a Medium article coming out soon that will detail a lot of this, but at a high level - NFTs of certain rarities will entitle the holder to benefits within the ecosystem, which may include revenue distribution, priority access to the Raini Launchpad (coming soon), and entitlements with respect to forthcoming governance tokens.

I probably should also mention that we are building a trading card game as part of our offering, and cards for this game will be released as NFTs on the platform too.

So as of now, users can stake their Raini to earn Rainbows or Unicorns, and we've just launched our cross-chain bridge. Work on the NFT platform + toolkit is well under way, and we expect to host our genesis drop towards the end of this month.

So there are 500million raini tokens in circulation, and our bridge across to BSC was non-inflationary, so no additional tokens were minted.

We also intend to utilise a percentage of all platform revenue for token buybacks and burns, to ensure upward pressure on token price in the long term.

In terms of staking, users can stake Raini tokens to earn rainbows, or stake Raini LP tokens to earn unicorns. Unicorns are valued more highly in the Raini ecosystem, and there will be certain items that can only be acquired with unicorns.

With the WWF, it's a significant ongoing annual contribution we're making to them. I'm a strong environmentalist, and being Australian - the bushfires that ravaged the East Coast here last year killed millions of animals. Our WWF commitment is just a small part of our efforts to contribute to positive change.

Sure, so we've actually signed a partnership with Dovu, who will be providing us with on-chain verifiable carbon offsets. One cool thing with their tech is that the way this works is that we'll actually be purchasing NFTs that contain publicly verifiable data of where carbon sequestration has happened, along with audit reports confirming this.

That's a fluid conversation, so I'm not sure I can say too much on that right now. What I can say is that I think a lot of people don't realise how revolutionary the crypto world is in the context of corporate governance.

Traditionally, holding a stock means not much - sure you might get to vote via mail for some shareholder proposal, but the outcome of those votes are usually decided in backrooms by institutional investors.

To have dev teams accessible via Discord&Telegram, and to have publicly verifiable voting systems for platform governance is pretty damn cool. It's a whole new way of approaching things, and I think is a sign of how this space will overtake the traditional world of finance.
