# Shenanigan iBBTC Proposal (for Shenanigan)

Reason: Back athletes with an interest-bearing asset. Gives exposure to Defi and opens opportunities for further collaboration.

Abstract:
BadgerDAO's most recent product, Interest Bearing BTC (IBBTC), could be used in Shenanigan's iOn escrow vaults to give athletes and fans yield while the donation sits in escrow. An even further step could see the iOn vaults staking the underlying iBBTC in farms (like Sushiswap or Honeyswap) or receiving a percentage of the weekly PRTCLE mint, similar to how liquidity providers are rewarded.

With Connext's recent release of their NXTP mainnet contracts, we can even imagine a solution where Shenanigan contracts are staking rewards for athletes on mainnet, while the product stays on xDai
