## RnDAO x Arbitrum Co.Lab ### About the grant [Twitter announcement](https://twitter.com/RnDAO__/status/1757538013670785376) - investing in "advanced research" and "market ready ventures" What we get: - 50k ARB + 100k of 'support' - access to users within RnDAO String attached: - build on Arbitrum exclusively first 6 months Collab tech focused on 3 areas - improve contributor experience [we fit here] - organizational governance and operational capability - community building Strategic portfolio areas - Governance & Decision-Making - Legal Incorporation, Ownership & Contracts - Community Knowledge & Culture [we fit a little here] - Treasury Management, Reputation & Compensation [we fit here] - Operations, Access & Analytics ### Approach It sounded like Roso was inviting Govrn to apply as is. He had heard of us + thought positively, didn't believe the project was fully dead, and made an anology of pruning when a tree goes into hibernation. It also seemed like this is more of a tech call and less of a pure research call. Exploratory tech. Three potential approaches: **1. Govrn revival** - We support the web app again and look at our growth and onboarding hypotheses - Maybe: - timing is different now - we can benefit from organic growth in the RnDAO collab tech swarm - we can have a simpler onboarding flow - we can experiment with collabtech messaging and position statements **2. Run with a subset of the Govrn tool** - It's possible that there's an aspect(s) of the Govrn tool that we could highlight and solely focus on. Maybe rather than being a "one stop shop" for DAO contributors and DAOs, there's ONE thing we could do really well. Ideas: - In this [hackmd](https://hackmd.io/4Q3wsSbjTMKPwNDquLwiGw) (I'm curious what comes to mind before you read what I wrote) **3. We do research** I think this would have fit better with their research fellowships which just closed in Dec, but we could research: - Why contributors document what they do? Do they document? Do they want to? What are the barriers? What is the DAO's responsibility to document and what is the individual's? - Mathematical (Nick-like) simulation on the game theory of contributors providing information on what they did vs. DAO attention span of reviewing what they did - Market research on the [differences/gaps](https://hackmd.io/RQJ-OL5xSwuA6z_XwCO3GQ) in compensation models in DAOs
