This post saw @rune expand on what to expect in 2023. <small>**Summary of 2023 MetaDAO Milestones:**</small> <small>[***1) Pregame Product smart contracts***](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/endgame-plan-next-steps-2023-milestones-for-metadao-launch/18770#h-1-pregame-product-smart-contracts-1)</small> These are the contracts necessary to launch the on-chain components of future MetaDAOs. * EtherDai token wrapper deployment * Elixir Balancer pool deployment * MetaDAO ERC20 token deployments (one for each MetaDAO) * Meta Elixir Uniswap v2 pool deployments (one for each MetaDAO) * Anti-Reflexivity Mechanic deployments (one for each MetaDAO) * Linear token sales mechanism to prevent price spikes * Dai Farms (one for each MetaDAO) * EtherDai Farms (one for each MetaDAO) * MKR Farms (one for each MetaDAO) * *Metanomics I* deployment * 70,000 MKR emitted per year, with 60000 funneled directly to the Meta Elixir of each of the MetaDAOs * Various dss-kiln and proxy contract deployments to manage accounts and token flows for MetaDAOs > "Of these features, I believe that the ETHD Farms and the MKR farms are the only ones that are somewhat technically challenging in terms of new code required, while the rest is almost all extremely simple code and implementation." <small>[***2) MVP of the MetaDAO frontends***](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/endgame-plan-next-steps-2023-milestones-for-metadao-launch/18770#h-2-mvp-of-the-metadao-frontends-2)</small> Per the post, a MetaDAO -- like any DeFi protocol -- is defined by its front end, so it's imperative to have quality UIs in place for these initial *Launch MetaDAOs*. *These frontends will require the following:* * Access to all Dai Farms * Access to opening Maker Vaults (including EtherDai Vaults) * Access to all EtherDai Vault Farms * Access to all MKR Farms * MVP of the Easy Voter Frontend that is required for users who wish to farm with MKR, as they need to first delegate through this frontend to be able to farm with MKR * Support for MetaDAOs adding their products or external services. <small>[**3) The MetaDAO Cluster journey**](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/endgame-plan-next-steps-2023-milestones-for-metadao-launch/18770#h-3-the-metadao-cluster-journey-3)</small> *Steps that must be met before the launch of a MetaDAO:* 1. Cluster announcements 2. Vote to include announced Clusters as Recognized Launch MetaDAO Clusters 3. Creation of MetaDAO forums 4. Early meta development of the new MetaDAO forums 5. Approval of the starting MIP-like infrastructure of new MetaDAOs by Maker Governance 6. Preparation of MIP39-equivalent onboarding proposals by the Clusters to a specific MetaDAO each 7. Launch of the MetaDAO frontends and the Pregame Smart contracts, which begins the distribution of MetaDAO tokens to Dai, ETHD, and MKR holders 8. Onboarding of the Clusters as Administration Teams to each of the MetaDAOs 9. Normal operation of the MetaDAOs with Administration Teams in charge of running their governance processes and facilitating budgets and community decisions. <small>[**4) The Endgame Constitution and the Endgame Scope Frameworks**](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/endgame-plan-next-steps-2023-milestones-for-metadao-launch/18770#h-4-the-endgame-consitution-and-the-endgame-scope-frameworks-4)</small> > "The Constitution and Scope Frameworks will be the primary way that the processes of Maker Governance itself will be locked down, to prevent corruption or instability of direction over time. > > The constitution will govern eligibility for compensation from Maker Core as a Mandated Actor, Recognized Delegate, or Recognized Decentralized Voter Committee." The utilized *Endgame Scope Frameworks* will be defined in the constitution, making them difficult to change, add, or remove. These carefully designed frameworks are then used for "all lower-level decisions surrounding the implementation or actions of the Decentralized Workforce, MetaDAOs and Ecosystem Actors, and any compensation-based risk parameter adjustments." The post concludes by stating that each of the above items must be completed by the end of 2023 to ensure that the Endgame Plan remains on track. *[**Click here**](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/endgame-plan-next-steps-2023-milestones-for-metadao-launch/18770/1) to read the post in its entirety.* ### Gasless Voting is Here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVN2Sc3vSLM&t=907s You can now submit your vote preferences at zero cost through the [**voting portal frontend!**](https://vote.makerdao.com/) <small>**Summary of the process:**</small> * Gasless voting is the default option unless a user specifies a preference for a legacy (L1) transaction. * This is accomplished through a relay service that securely submits vote metadata to a polling contract hosted on Arbitrum. * The Governance database *listens* to the event and appends it to the table. Address has at least 0.1 MKR of poll voting weight. 2. Address has not used the Gasless Poll Voting system in the last 10 minutes. 3. Address has only voted once in any of the polls included in the ballot. 4. Address is not a multisig wallet.
