# Guidance on how to update Collateral Status Index

# Why does the CSI exist?

- Communicate the current status of all potential collateral assets to Maker Holders and the Maker community.
- Provide an easily addressable way to access the information on a specific collateral type.
- Keep a records of
- The community greenlight outcome.
- Any domain greenlight outcomes.
- How each collateral asset was on-boarded to the protocol.
- (Future) Provide a place that allows for efficient coordination between domain teams.

**Aim to achieve these goals, even at the expense of following the specific guidelines below. Format is open to modification. (LongForWisdom 8-4-2020)**

# Updating the CSI

## New MIP6 Proposals

**Triggers**

- New MIP6 Application is posted. Check category and tag to see if more of these have materialized.
- Forum moderators will make sure they’re tagged correctly.

**Actions**

- Create a new entry for the applying collateral type.
- Set the community greenlight time. (MIP9 is the authoritative resource on this.)
- Add entry to the top level summary table.

## MIP9 Polls Start

**Triggers**
- A new MIP9 (community greenlight) poll starts.

**Actions**
- Post the link of each poll to the asset entry.
- Update status within entry.
- Update status on the top level summary table.

## MIP9 Polls End

**Triggers**

- A MIP9 (community greenlight) poll ends.

**Actions**

- Update status within entry.
- Add community greenlight results to each entry (Check MIP9 for score calculation)
- Update status on the top level summary table.

## Domain Work is posted

**Triggers**

- New domain work is posted. Check tags to see if more of these have materialized.
- Forum moderators will make sure they’re tagged correctly.

**Actions**

- Add domain work link within entry.
- Add domain work link in top level summary.

## MIP12c2-SP’s are posted

**Triggers**

- New MIP12c2-SP is posted. This will be in the MIPs category (or one of the subcategories).

**Actions**

- Add MIP12c2-SP link to entry.
- Add asset to the planned section in the top level summary.

## MIP12c2-SP’s are accepted

**Triggers**

- New MIP12c2-SP successfully passes the monthly governance cycle and becomes active in the Maker Protocol.

**Actions**

- Update the status of the collateral entry.
- Update the active list in the top level summary.
- Remove from the other lists in the top level summary.

## Domain Greenlights are.... posted (lol)

**Triggers**

- Domain team posts a domain greenlight
- This doesn’t happen often and probably will continue to not happen.

**Actions**

- Update the domain greenlight section of the collateral entry.
- Add domain greenlight to the greenlight status list. How to assemble collateral onboarding
