- Research Associate (f/m/d) - Image and Data Analysis
- Full-time and permanent
Your key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the application of imaging and analysis technologies as part of high content imaging for target validation, assay development and screening projects
- **Develop image analysis strategies and procedures, guide image acquisitions, microscopy work and subsequent data analysis**
- **Working in multi-disciplinary project teams**, you collaborate with scientists in various disease areas and provide expert knowledge to support experimental design
- Contribute to the **training of technical personnel** and maintenance of cutting-edge microscopy devices
Your ideal qualifications:
- MSc degree with several years of experience or a Ph.D degree in a Life Sciences area
- Profound knowledge with **image processing and data visualization, including handling of large and complex data sets** is necessary
- Ideally already first experience in developing analysis pipelines aiming to quantify and classify biological parameters extracted from microscopy data
- Basic programming skills are desirable
- Ability to work independently and in a well-organized manner, together with the initiative to actively contribute to the progress of our projects
- A concise analytical reasoning combined with a practical and creative approach to troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment
- Fluency in English, German would be an advantage

- High content screening
- FRET analysis of certain probes: used to study protein protein interactions
- 2 proteins tagged with 2 fluorophore such that emission wavelength of 1 overlaps with excitation of other.
- if the proteins are close by then we will see fret signal (<10 nm)
- our proteins were tagged with cfp-yfp contsructs
- if fret, we see yfp signal else only cfp
- 96 well plate- 90 images per well --> 8640 images
- camp sensor in cardiomyocites, low camp no fret high camp fret. Simulated with agents that increase or decrease camp -> study using fret
- if proteins reduces camp -> we will not see fret
- if protein increases camp -> we will see fret
- fret efficiency **acceptor/donor**
- camp or **Cyclic adenosine monophosphate** messenger, in cardiomyocites the regulation of cardiac myocyte contractile function
