# SS40K Ideas
SS40K aims to be a lore accurate grimdark experience similar in nature to Ratwood but without the jank.
These are gameplay ideas to aid the basic roleplaying idea.
the general plan is to strip down skyrat to its core functions and create an immersive environment putting emphasis on quality over quantity in terms of available mechanics.

### R&D replacement:
replace r and d with a much more simplified system. you have STC fragments random spawn across the map, each STC needs 3 fragments to complete. Once completed they are non duplicateable and highly valuable.
STC constructor:
takes fragments of an STC and turns them into a completed STC.
Fabricaror:
Can be loaded with one STC at a time and can produce the STC when provided with the correct materials. some stcs can only be used once.

### Corruption System
In SS40K we are aiming for a hands off approach to administration. this thus means we need a system for moderating behaviour automatically.
The Corruption system is just that. certain actions that the player does will increase Corruption. e.g. if you hack a door, kill someone, detonate a bomb, etc.
You can reduce Corruption by confessing to a confessor whom can perform a dangerous ritual to reduce your Corruption. ritual may spawn enemies around.
As your Corruption rises it will cause voices and hallucinations. this Corruption is visible to inquisitors when you are inspected. eventually it will be plainly visible to those around you.
If you continue to let it grow you will either be found out and executed or dragged into the warp to face demonic entities for survival.
The hive city will have it's own overall Corruption also checkable by the inquisition. they are liable to control the corruption via interrogations and forced rituals. if the cities Corruption reaches too high a level it will trigger a warp storm where entities spill into the city and ravage people. adeptus astartes may be called.
If it rises more eventually the city will fall to Corruption and no doubt the imperium will declare exterminatus on to the planet.
### SD:
Self destruct terminal will be replaced with exterminatus request console.
The general aim is to make sure the game flow does not become stale. this will mean implementing thresholds to activate and deactivate systems.
ex. if there are enough guardsmen then automatic attacks on the main gate will start. otherwise it will scale and be toned down.
### Menial Workers(assistants)
Players who choose this role will be placed into a quota schedule system. there will be menial pointless work to do such as pressing metal on a metal press. there will be quotas given for each of these tasks.
If quotas are not met the administratum and adeptus arbites will be notified. they will be liable to take action.
the schedule system will incorporate three states. work. break. off shift.
a klaxon will sound when a shift is starting and people will be expected to work in their respective places. and a klaxon will sound for breaks and then for shift end. this will tie into my day night cycle.
