## Libraries
We will need lots of libraries. Every DAW includes its own tools, sound effects, samples and more stuff. All these tools, eventually, won't be enough to work on your projects. I'm sharing a list of free tools that might be useful for your course development and your work as artists in general. We will go through some of them in class. If anyone has a request for a particular tool, let me know, and I can look it up and add it. We can expand this post as the course progresses. I hope it's helpful!
### DAWs
[Cakewalk](https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk), formerly known as Sonar, was acquired by BandLab a while back, and it's a good music production software. It's quite convenient and completely free.
[Reaper](https://www.reaper.fm/) is the most widely used free DAW. It's super convenient, and the interface is very clean. It's not the most visually appealing, but it works great for starting to produce, especially.
### VST
[Melda Productions free bundle plugins](https://www.meldaproduction.com/MFreeFXBundle), 37 free audio editing plugins. Dynamic modification tools, timbre modulators... It's really good.
[Tonelib](https://tonelib.net/downloads/) is the best free plugin for simulating guitar amplifiers and effects with incredible sound quality.
[Valhalla](https://valhalladsp.com/) has released the Space Modulator, FreQ Echo, and Super Massive. They are three different effects; the first two are timbre modulation, and the third is a delay-reverb. They offer many possibilities.
[Mixbox](https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/mixbox/?pkey=mixbox-cs) have a free processing chain called MixBoxCS. Dynamics control (compression, limiter), an amplifier and some modulation effects.
[Izotope](https://www.izotope.com/en/products/free-audio-plug-ins.html) has 3 free plugins: Vinyl (to add noise and vinyl effect to an audio bus), Vocal Doubler (a voice modulator) and Ozone Imager (a stereorizer to make wider mixes).
### VSTi
[Reverb](https://reverb.com/software/samples-and-loops/reverb/3514-reverb-drum-machines-the-complete-collection) drum machine Complete Collection is a bundle of 50 classic drum machines samples, totally free.
At [Ample Sound](https://www.amplesound.net/en/download.asp), you have a guitar, bass, and hang for free that sound REALLY good.
[Sample Science](https://www.samplescience.info/search/label/free) has some pretty interesting virtual instruments
[MT Power Drum Kit](https://www.powerdrumkit.com/) is a pretty good drum simulation plugin:
LABS - [Spitfire Audio Free VSTi LABS](spitfireaudio.com) - Free Virtual Instruments
### VST+VSTi
At [Native Instruments](https://www.native-instruments.com/es/catalog/free/), there's a pack of products you can download for free. It includes synthesizers, voice and string amplification simulators, compression tools... High-quality free professional software that is highly recommended.
[Plugins4Free](https://plugins4free.com/) (formerly known as VST4Free) is a repository of free plugins that redirects to pages like the ones I'm sharing here. It's interesting because you can find everything. They also have a section for instruments, synthesizers, real instrument simulators, etc.
[Bedroom Producers Blog](https://bedroomproducersblog.com/free-vst-plugins/) has also a list of free plugins (2023 Update)
### Samples
