# CHAPTER 11: PROJECT: Electric Bike/Car Project ## 1] Electric Car (Atleast 15 participants) **Pros** * Practically learn all of the concepts that have been taught in the course. * All participants will get a chance for a hands on session as there will be enough work for everyone to work with. * One can scale up these learnings and work on much bigger projects. **Cons** * Overall cost will be higher. * The time required to complete the project is very long. * Need 15 or more participants to be viable. * It is very difficult to re-use / recycle the chassis material that has been firmly welded. ## 2] E-Rickshaw (10 - 15 participants) **Pros** * The working principles and practical exposure can be compared to that of a car. * Less time consuming work when compared to building a car. * Opting for open type chassis will eliminate the need for working on body works. **Cons** * Practical exposure is less when compared to a car. ## 3] Bike (Less than 10 participants) **Pros** * Lowest cost when compared. * We already have prior experience with such project. * Most parts used can be re used for next workshop. * Least time consuming project. **Cons** * Practical exposure to suspension and steering system of a car will not be posssible. * If higher number of participants are present, it will be difficult for everyone to have hands-on sessions. ## Electric Bike Project ## Calculations 1.
