# Ambassador Program Ideas

## Overview
Ambassador program is aimed to grow the Gear ecosystem by attracting the very qualified ambassadors in different ares.

* The ambassador program should be a long period program which can last as long as possible.
* Ambassadors should have different grades/levels according to their contributions.
* Ambassadors should be rewarded according to their contributions periodly.
* There should be an org for ambassadors to coordinate with each other.
* Ambassadors should submit contributions periodly.
* The ambassador name will be expired if there is no contribution for 6 months by default. The ecosystem leads and the committee have the right to give exceptions.
* The ambassador name will be terminated immediatly when ambassador did things harm to Gear.

## Roles of Ambassadors
Ambassadors should be focuse on the following areas:
* Marketing
* Business Development
* Developer Community Growing
* Community Growing
* Technical Evangelist

**Marketing Ambassador** should help Gear to have more chance of exposure.

**Businees Development Ambassador** should help Gear to have more and more partners or investors.

**Developer Community Ambassador** should help Gear to grow it's developer community.

**Community Ambassador** should help Gear to grow the size of community.

**Technical Ambassador** should help Gear to speak out the tech solution and help developers in different ways.

## Levels of Ambassadors
Ambassadors should be started from trainee which is the intern for Gear Ambassador. When the candidate submits the application, the Ecosystem Leads or the committee will evaluate whether the candidate qualified or not. If the candidate passed the evaluation from the Ecosystem Leads and the committee, he/she will enter the start level - Gear Trainee.

Trainee period will last for 3 months. After 3 months, the trainee should submit the graduate application and attend the interview. If everything goes fine, the trainee will be official Gear Ambassadors.

There will be 4 levels.

* Trainee - Lv0
* Ambassador - Lv1
* Master - Lv2
* Jedi - Lv3

Application and interview are required when candidate want to enter next level.

## Rewards for Ambassadors
As trainee, there is no direct rewards. Started from Lv1, ambassadors will get rewards from Gear Team regularly.

The ambassadors will be rewarded according to their levels:
* Lv1 - 1000K USD equal GRB
* Lv2 - 2000K USD equal GRB
* Lv3 - 3000K USD equal GRB

The rewards will be distributed after the ecosystem leads and committee evaluate the quaification of the ambassador.

## Organization
There is a group for ambassadors, and there is a org for them too.

GearFans the org for all fans of Gear. All the ambassadors' contributions will be published through GearFans, and the GearFans is sponsored by Gear Tech to organize the fans of Gear.

## Evaluation regularly
The ambassador should submit contributions regularly that the ecosystem leads and committee are able to evaluate the rewards to be distributed.

Different roles can use different forms.

## Termination
The ambassador is not a persistent name, it requires contributions.

If the ambassador did harmful things to Gear, the name of ambassador will be terminated immediatly by the ecosystem leads or committee.

If the situation of no contribution lasts for over 6 months, the ambassador name will be terminated, unless the ecosystem leads or committee make the decision to keep the title for this ambassadord.

## Others
Grants and bounties are seperated from the Gear Ambassador Program. The Gearm Ambassadors can join the grants and bounty programs at will.

The jobs for different roles can be defined more precisely with the help from different areas.
