Born in Absalom to unkown parents (though much can be inferred about their character by her sheer existance).
Adopted and raised by a pair of tavern owners, the Barrowmeads, themselves immigrants from Taldor.
Was found on the doorstep of the tavern (which is located near the Absalom harbor) together with a blade wrapped in heavy cloth.
Attached to the sword was a note about not letting the child repeat the mistakes of the past.
Barrowmeads took in Lilhala and had the **Panabas** examined. (maybe something about sealing magic on the sword?)
Natural curiosity of a cat alongside martial aptitutde (i.e. got in fights a lot as a kid) led her to self-study magic in her spare time.
As she grew up she kept hearing whispers, eventually finding the wrapped **Panabas** in her parent's attic. When questioned they couldn't say much about it.
