# Web Monetized Comic Challenge The Web Monetized Comic Challenge is a competition that challenges creators to publish comics on the Fliptoons platform. Participants can submit multiple entries to increase their scores. A percentage of the score is determined by fan votes. Creators will be ranked based on score. The competition will kick off two months from now and will end roughly after 5 months. These are the major guidelines for now. This serves as an early invitation. More details will be sent out later. ### Special Award: Web Monetization Award The Web Monetization Award will be a special award that identifies the best overall webcomic that tackles the Web’s broken business models and [Web Monetization](https://webmonetization.org/). It will have a separate submission. The award will be 100% determined by the judges. **Prizes** Prize pool: $4,000 1st place: $1,000 2nd place: $800 3rd place: $600 4th place: $400 5th place: $200 6th - 10th place: $100 Special Award - Web Monetization Award : $500 ## About Fliptoons Fliptoons is a webcomic reader platform with [Coil](https://www.coil.com) where creators get paid based on the duration of content consumption and readers get to consume webcomics without sacrificing privacy and dealing with multiple subscriptions.
