Coding Assignment 1: Channel Model (Pathloss and Quadriga Channel Model)
- Assigment A1

Description :
1. Dirrect LOS
2. Reflect Path One Bounces
3. Reflect Path One Bounces
4. Diffracted Path
5. Transmission Through Wall or Window
* Assigment 1B
1. Download the Quadriga channel model https://quadriga-channel-model.de/
2. Extract the zip into a folder, you will find 2 folders inside: quadriga_src and tutorials
3. Open Octave, and from Octave File Browser, go to the above tutorials folder
4. Open (double click) the t12_ground_reflection.m
5. In the Editor, below “clear all” add the following command: addpath(genpath(‘folder_address’)) folder_address is the address of quadriga_src folder in your drive
6. Run the simulation (it will take a while) and eventually you will get 3 figures
Source Code
After run this Source Code , got 3 figure
1. Figure 1

2. Figure 2

3. Figure 3

From these 3 figures, explain the differences and how the different frequency affect the channel behavior!
Answer :
From the three images, there are differences between the 2 ray models, 3GPP UMi LOS, and 3GPP UMi LOS with Ground Reflection. In the 2 ray mood model, which is simple simulation, the dB decrease tends to be stable and there is no diffraction in the 2 GHz, 28 GHz, and 60 GHz bands. No noise there.
In 3GPP UMi LOS or in practice, there is some noise for all three signals with the same signal graph. There is a lot of noise when the signal reaches rarely more than 40 meters. The signal still tends to be stable.
In 3GPP UMi LOS with Ground Refrection, the three signal forms experience a decrease in dB to a distance of 30 meters, then an increase in dB to a distance of about 45 meters, then decrease again and so on.
