# “FAIRPoints ‘Ask Me Anything’ on Identifiers.” -Bios
### Intro:
FAIRPoints ‘Ask me Anything’ (AMA) event series on FAIR implementation and Open practices in Science, is hosted by [FAIRPoints](https://fairpoints.org/) and supported by [RDA](https://www.rd-alliance.org/), [EOSC](https://eoscfuture-grants.eu/), [FDO](https://fairdo.org/), [GOFAIR-US](https://www.gofair.us/) & [SciLifeLab-DataCentre](https://www.scilifelab.se/data).
The theme of this session is "FAIRPoints 'Ask Me Anything' webinar on Identifiers." We will be discussing the different types of identifiers available, their importance in creating FAIRDigital objects, and how they can be applied and integrated into research practices.
The events are aimed at bringing together speakers from the RDA Groups and speakers from a related EOSC service to describe how their work aligns, how it connects to the research community, and how it benefits the research community in a way that is directly related to the implementation of FAIR and Open research practices. The events are beginner-friendly, laid-back, and easy to follow, with moderators driving the discussion, posing questions to our speakers, and inviting audience questions.
### Speakers & Moderators bios:
### Maggie Hellström:
Dr Maggie Hellström has a background in experimental nuclear chemistry and nuclear physics, with a MSC from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm in 1988 and a PhD from Uppsala university in 1992. She has served at several nuclear physics institutes in the US, Germany and Sweden, and holds an Associate Professorship in Physics at Lund University. Since 2010, Maggie works at the department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science in Lund, where she has been involved in various greenhouse gas and environmental science projects, and also teaches basic data management. In 2015, she joined the ICOS Carbon Portal team, working with research data management questions including FAIR and Open Science, and representing ICOS in several European research projects.
### Peter Wittenberg
Head of The Language Archive that was built as collaboration between Max-Planck-Society, Berlin-Brandenburg-Academy of Sciences and the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences
Senior Data Systems Advisor at the Max Planck Compute and Data Facility,
Founding and organising the FAIR Digital Object Forum
From 2017 to 2018 founding director of RDA Deutschland e.V.

### Matthew Buys:
Matt leads the team at DataCite who provide the means to create, find, cite, connect, and use research globally. DataCite is a global community that shares a common interest: to ensure that research outputs and resources are openly available and connected so that their reuse can advance knowledge across and between disciplines, now and in the future. Prior to joining DataCite, Matt was the Director of Engagement at ORCID where he played an important role in growing the community into an international-scale research effort.
### Natasha Simons:
Natasha Simons is Associate Director, Data & Services, for the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC). She collaborates nationally and internationally to solve key challenges that improve research data infrastructure, policies, skills and practices. Based at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Natasha leads a geographically dispersed team who are passionate about enabling FAIR data and driving a corresponding change in scholarly communication culture.
### Nabil Ksibi:

Nabil is responsible for fostering ORCID community adoption in the Middle East & Africa. As part of his responsibilities, Nabil supports ORCID members as they develop new and existing integrations and workflows.
### Patricia Herterich:
Resident Fellow at Open Life Science and consultant (currently in house as Project Officer to the CODATA-RDA Schools of Research Data Science (SoRDS)). Worked as a Research Data Specialist working at the Digital Curation Centre at the University of Edinburgh on the FAIRsFAIR project aiming at fostering Fair Data Practices in Europe and the product manager for DMPonline. Before joining the DCC, Patricia was the Research Repository Advisor at the University of Birmingham and have previously worked as a data librarian at CERN’s Scientific Information Service.
