# Swarm ## Vision October 2020 Leading team members of the Swarm project take the mainstage at DevCon6. They are proud to present Swarm is a fully funded development project. It consists of a production ready reference implementation aka v1 client, enabling p2p decentralized persistent data storage through accounting on the Ethereum blockchain. It enables any blockchain to have truly decentralized persistent storage. Through partners and a token sale, the initial development team has secured a runway of 3 years to transition into a company providing Swarm implementation services and custom solutions development to the market. This transition has a clear roadmap with timely checks, transparent to investors. The stage is shared with Edu (dAppnode - data persistance), Bernd Lapp (Swarm City - decentralized and uncesorable marketplaces) and Gregor (Datafund - monetization of personal data). Within 5 minutes, they all get to explain how they are using or implementing Swarm into their dapps or business development tracks. The presentation comes to an end by Swarm members stating their plans for the coming 2 years: Keep evolving the 1.0 client, getting active partnerships throughout the ecosystem and funding and advancing Fair Data Society, an ecosystem of ideologically linked dapps, helping the dream of fully distributed private personal data become a reality. ## Mission February 2020 The draft presentation for DevCon6 is being produced. Initially, each slide has a 90-100% bullshit rating. March 2020 At the Swarm meetup in Mallorca, together we try to bring the bullshit rating down. For each slide, team members take responsibility.
