# Rapid Construction Rework
It's no secret construction Fucking Sucks in ss13. It's slow, it takes forever, and it is repetetive. This document provides a solution to all of these problems, while also introducing more nuance to the system.
## The Meat and Balls
RCD remains, but gets buffed and nerfed.
Deconstruction ability taken away, given to new laser cutting and deconstruction tool, which breaks down walls fast, but at an inefficency. Good for scrapping.
Construction is buffed, giving it an innante range of 3ish tiles, a much higher ammo capacity, and the ability to make every kind of wall and window.
Construction is nerfed in another way: It now needs a new chem, Material Liquid (subject to better) that is made by putting any material into the Rapid Construction Tonka
Upgrades for Circuits and Frames are easier to get, and may be implemented in the base RCD. Upgrades will be shifted to fuel efficency, tank linking.
## The Rapid Construction Tonka Truck
A new vehicle with two parts, the truck itself, and the storage tank.
The truck will look like a tonka truck kids ride on version, that the engi rides in and drives around. It will have an internal storage for various engineering items, like circuits, and the ability to link to the second part, a tank. When to the tank, any material sheets the Tonka drives over will be converted to liquid material and put into the tank, alternatively one can just slap mats into the tank by hand.
The tonka will be able to be upgraded for easier mobile construction, with upgrades such as increased storage capacity, a mobile circuit imprinter (departmental only), and the ability to turn material liquid into tiers 1-3 parts. The RND upgrades may be a third cart instead that you can make, which you add to your trailer train. Upgrade that will add thrusters to your truck, giving manuerability in space, for good ol space truckin and building.
It would perhaps require power in the form of cells, in order to do some of the upgrades. It could also have an internal energy buffer, which if it is wrenched on top of a power node, would be filled up.
## Reasons for Good.
This rework of construction would allow large scale construction to happen, but not in a way where it would be broken per-say. You would still need machines to get your stuff, but it would be a lot more mobile and not as much of CBT to do, encouraging it a lot more. Also I want to see engineers riding tiny little trucks like nerds.
The RPD will not be changed, it is pretty good as is. The only change I could see is making a Bluespace version of it with range that can eat wrenched pipes.
