Much more RSVPs. - Nine people have signed up \o/ - Talks prepared about apps, Chase will talk about contributing to SolidOS - Submitted a PR to SolidPeriodTracker App #### Rui - Knows Vid - Worked on permission explorer. This one groups resources by the permissions associated by it. - Live demo later, but not today :-) - See https://github.com/renyuneyun/PermiX/ #### Tim * Challenges with Gitter -> Matrix shift - Has an importer Gitter -> Solid POD which integrates with solid chats - Gitter switches to Matrix so this will break - Matrix SDK could help, has a CLI too - Works as a bot - I do not have a list of all rooms so I want to make sure I identified teh coresponsing Matrix chats. The goal would be that in the solid version of it is just continuying and the only change is the usernames. - I've been happily watching Alain put together a new release of mashlib. I put in the code for dealing with communities. Let me know if you need help with jsonld. #### Vid * Quote from the chat: - Thanks for the welcome and introductions! I'm a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh (calling in from here too). Last summer I did some work with the team at Oxford on a real-life Solid use case: data transparency and control for gig workers. At the moment I'm curious about social tagging systems from the 2000s like del.icio.us and what we can learn from them for Web3.0 applications. Nice to meet you all! #### Timea - Currently in Romania - Will take a look at Solid Period Tracker - Cleaned up SolidOS project board - Biggest request is UI/UX which are now filtered - Forms are also filtered - Timea volunteers to be topic owner for SolidOS UI/UX - Would like code cleanup (akin to Solid Logic) - Integrated Matthias' code into solid-logic -> asked Alain to cut a new release with it. #### Zhilin - Working on decentralized calendar - Can help with UI/UX of SolidOS perhaps? #### Angelo - Working on slides for Solid Symposium - The slides include data from Solid Pod through custom elements API - Working on email importing - Will be released soon, can have demo next meeting perhaps? ### Technical topics #### Switch from Gitter to Matrix - Noel: Github/Gitlab login doesn't work, I've only managed to get it working with an existing Matrix account. (the url that's not working is this https://app.gitter.im). - -based on blog: https://blog.gitter.im/2023/01/16/gitter-is-going-fully-native-matrix-in-feb-2023/ - Aad: Perhaps Cat can help to continue the importer to Solid. Will ask. #### Allow user themes in SolidOS - Aad: Could we allow users to create or use a custom theme? - Timea: Prefer not to go into detail. We have more pressing issues than considering it at this time. - Aad: I would suspect it would eb a description of how css is used. I would not plan for it and not overengineer it. We do not know if there is even somehting people want. - Tim: you will shocked to know there is a style.js which contians the css in variables and not in css files. If you want to change them you can simply change that file. You cannot inject css in certain places but you can inject js. People look at it and say it is horrible but with css you need to generate horrible css names. I wanted to do a dark mode. - Tim: Currently it's functional CSS described in JavaScript - Timea: I am also thinking about how to structure our weekly meetings to make space for topic owners to always present and make sure we continue our work (things get done) #### Use N3 parser in rdflib * People have problems importing some files https://github.com/linkeddata/rdflib.js/issues/601 ---- This template is based on the [W3C meeting template](https://github.com/solid/specification/blob/main/meetings/template.md) [Code of conduct](https://github.com/solid/process/blob/main/code-of-conduct.md)
