# GlobalFOX Community Ambassador Program v2 A restructuring of the GlobalFOX Community Ambassador (GCA) program with long-term sustainability, measurable metrics and KPIs, and a clearer pathway into a salaried position within the Growth & Globalization workstream. ## The Necessity for Change In the first term of the GlobalFOX program and the Globalization initiative, we made great strides in the Latin American sector, and LatAm is now a whole 'nother beast of its own. For various reasons, the entry into the Asian market has proven to be difficult. From cultural differences, language barriers, the lack of educational resources available, to socioeconomic differences, these barriers to entry -- however real and difficult they may be -- should not be an excuse to throw in the towel. The Growth and Globalization workstream of ShapeShift DAO is looking for the next leaders to step up and lead the charge in the expansion into Asian communities. Countries of particular interests are: South Korea, China, and Russia. ## GlobalFOX Program Goals ### Initial Vision The original vision of the program was to create leaders within their local communities that would take initiatives, ideas, goals, and execute on them with the goal of spreading ShapeShift and DeFi knowledge to all corners of the world. At the moment with the exception of LatAm, the program has turned into a translation bounty program. Although translation work is undoubtedly an important goal that will be ongoing, the original vision of raising *leaders* has stagnated. ### GlobalFOX Program Restructuring The GCA program will no longer actively seek to add GCA leaders on a monthly or time-based basis, but will take a more passive approach and challenge potential future leaders to step up. Interested parties will be asked to submit their own proposal to the workstream with research and an action plan. This change in the process will 1) keep the workstream lean; 2) soften the workload of globalization workstream in managing multiple same-language translators; 3) allow the "go-getters" to step up and show initiative and prove their eagerness to spread ShapeShift into their communities. ## Path to GlobalFOX Leadership Role ### Application-based Process Interested future leaders will be asked to submit research on their local web3/DeFi communities, as well as a milestone/KPI based proposal plan to strategically execute a 4-month aggressive campaign into their respective local markets; key focuses should be on: education (regarding both DeFi and ShapeShift), local media/PR/influencer hookup, recruitment, and cost analysis. - The applicant must be comfortably bi-lingual in both the respective languages as well as English - The applicant should have a good understanding of the local laws, trends, and sentiment in his/her local community - The applicant should be plugged in to blockchain and cryptocurrency communities that are popular in their respective local communities; if not currently active, the applicant should at least know which platform(s) are popular and should be targeted for a strategic content and outreach campaign - Basic Blockchain, DeFi, DAO, and decentralized protocol knowledge is a must. Advanced knowledge is a huge plus. - The applicant must be engaged with the ShapeShift community, providing updates and participating in our governance. ### Part 1: Community Research - A short brief on the current state of crypto sentiment, material and initiatives that are lacking, and the biggest blockers of DeFi education and adoption in the proposed country - An organized list of local online communities that are leading the discussions in DeFi, DAOs, and crypto investments - An organized list of potential influencers and media outlets that may be approached to help with the initial outreach - A conclusion paragraph that details your findings on the challenges and opportunities you see in the proliferation of DeFi/DAO/blockchain education, usage of said technologies, and ideas on growing the Asian ShapeShift community ### Part 2: Outlined Execution Plan - Submit an action plan, execution proposal, project management plan -- however you wish to structure this deliverable -- that uses the research and your local insider knowledge into something the DAO can fund, support, and participate in. - The action plan must be organized in a manner that is easy to follow, measurable in terms of budgetary needs, and quantifiable with KPIs or OKRs (if applicable). - Keep in mind that the proposal will be presented to the Growth and Globalization workstream, and potentially to the DAO depending on the budget requested; in other words - convince and gain our trust, and stay as lean as possible budget-wise. ### Part 3: Execution & Acceptance into the GlobalFOX Leadership Role For outstanding submissions, there will be continued discussions with the applicant in which funding, leadership role, and potential continued support will be discussed. It is up to the Growth and Globalizations discretion to accept or reject proposals; however, you are free to appeal the decision by submitting a formal proposal to the DAO. ## Consideration & Criterias Applications will be judged on the following: - The thoroughness of the research - Insightfulness of the submission - The usefulness of the local, niche knowledge shared by the contributor - Overall cohesiveness and logical flow of the research provided about the submittors local market Execution proposals will be judged on: - Organization and structure of the proposed action plan - The feasibility of the plan (realistic goals are set) - The budgetary and human resources needed for the execution of the proposed plan (leaner the better) - The target market size and potential long-term ROI - The uniqueness and strategic ingenuity shown in the proposed plan - Other various areas to be determined at our discretion --- You may be thinking that the path to a GlobalFOX Leadership role has gotten extremely harder; that was the point. However, the select few that go through this process and get approved will be rewarded greatly with a full-time role and budget to run a campaign that you designed. At a time where there are 4-5 translators for one language, it is impossible to fairly say that one specific person deserves a full-time role. This is a chance for the truly dedicated to step up and take initiative.
