# Junior Technical Writer (WPF)

Our Saint-Petersburg office is looking for a technical writer to join our WPF team to meet the growing needs of devexpress.com - a leading vendor of software development tools, testing tools, and user interface components.

You will contribute to the DevExpress WPF UI Library – a powerhouse collection of Office-inspired user interface components.

## Responsibilities

Create and maintain technical documentation, tutorials, release notes and API reference.

Write articles and blog posts about product features, benefits and use cases.

Create code examples that demonstrate the best practices of the product use.

Establish API naming and author text for the UI.

Ensure consistent and accurate terminology across the product line.

Create video resources including feature reviews, lessons, and tutorials.

Communicate with subject matter experts to understand product features and use cases.

Cooperate with developers and designers to improve product quality and usability.

## Required skills

Excellent command of English (Upper Intermediate or better).

Ability to structure information and communicate complex matters in writing.

Basic programming skills: ability to understand the program’s behavior and implement simple scenarios in code.

Ability to quickly learn and comprehend technical information.

Excellent planning and organizational skills.

## Preferred skills

Knowledge of C# and WPF.

Understanding the MVVM design pattern.

Experience in using Git as a version management system.

Experience in using video creation and editing tools for screencasts and tutorials.

Salary in USD according to the current exchange rate. Payed twice a month + possible semi-annual bonus for team achievements + possible bonus for personal success.
