PTE [[Read Aloud](https://edutrainex.com/blog/pte-read-aloud-tips-and-practice/)] tests include 6 to 7 questions, and just like every other speaking task, your performance is assessed on the basis of content, oral fluency, and pronunciation. In PTE Read Aloud, you are tested on how well you can read and speak a text, usually one related to academics, as if you were a native speaker. Therefore, oral fluency and pronunciation are essential here, since some words could be tongue-twisting. [[PTE Read Aloud](https://youtu.be/dE_8ysmdVfY)] scores depend on a number of factors, including being a good reader and speaking with purpose as if you were explaining to someone. You should speak fluently and naturally, modulate your voice, and use appropriate pausing as well as correct stress. Read Aloud for no longer than 35 seconds, so your last sentence doesn't get cut off.
Like the other PTE questions, the Read Aloud task also has instructions or Task prompts at the top, which clearly tell you that you have 40 seconds to read the given text naturally and clearly. Although the instructions don’t say that you have 40 seconds to prepare, you can see the progress of the Audio recorder (display just below the Task prompt), which would say “Beginning in 40 seconds” at the start of each question. Then you'll see the actual text to read at the bottom. PTE Read Aloud task scoring is in three areas, like other Speaking questions, namely Content, which is based on your ability to read what is given in the text correctly. Additionally, you have Pronunciation, which is based on your ability to pronounce English sounds clearly. Finally, there is Oral Fluency, which is based on whether you spoke with no hesitation, fluency, and stressing the correct words.
