# New Haven Times | Report Submission Guide > This will guide you on how to send any reports or stories you have prepared to me and my staff for editing. It is a simple process and shouldn't take too much time to complete. ## Instructions ### View Your Report | :newspaper: Look at the report that you have created, do you believe that it would be fit for publication? Would you believe that the report is not taking a biased stance against a certain party? How lengthy is your report and how many words do you have on the report? > At least 250 words are the minimum amount required to send into my office. ### Look For Grammar Mistakes | :mag: Check out the report for any grammar mistakes, slang, useless contractions and other 'word crimes' for optimal quality. Run on sentences, and other advanced grammar changes and fixes will be done by my office so that reporting is not a long winding job minus getting the information. > Obvious grammar and formatting mistakes will not be passed on until fixed. > The list of those certain mistakes will be as followed: * > Mispelled words * > Improper punctuation (to a high extent) * > Slang words * > Weird fonts (Comic Sans) * > Loud colors (Very bright red or blue) ### Proofread Your Report | :thumbsup: Check your report to see if there is any images or concrete evidence on a certain topic if you are reporting one. It is paramount that there is certain factual claim before attempting to push the report forward. > If you are placing a claim, make sure to support it first before sending it to my office. ### Sending The Report | :paperclip: After completing all of the instructions, it is time to send the report. The way to send this report is to send it directly to my direct messages in this format. ![](https://i.imgur.com/1A8cbjE.png) > It will be reviewed and you will be notified if your report has been accepted or not. ## Grading Rubric | Unsatisfactory | Satisfactory | Exceptional | |:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:|:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:|:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------:| | The document was poorly orchestrated and did not follow most or all of the requirements. | The document was orchestrated to a medium standard and met around half the requirements. | The document went beyond and above and was orchestrated perfectly and met all of the requirements. |
