## Notes
- Intros!
- Demos/Etc
- Ideas
* long history of civic technologists building bike apps in Philly, the difference with us is Discord, 500+ people in a server ready for action - Charlie
* Neighborhood Selection. Expand from demo, allow people to create/join their own neighborhoods. Open Data Philly has a json with all the neighborhoods, but allow people to submit requests for their neighborhood instead.
* Need a slash command to request/add a neighborhood
* A process for admins to approve/decline
* Updating the buttons on the select with the current approved neighbrohoods, create the role and chat corresponding.
* Also allow people to de-select roles
* Make bot not re-create all buttons every time it restarts
* Update permissions on the selection channel.
* Stats on activity in neighborhood chats.
* Infiltrate RCOs!!!
* Campaigns
* Fifth square has been planning to start a "media outlet". Modeling similar to "streetsblog" including website layout and how to get involved.
* How is the marketing committee (media team) involved? How might a designer be involved?
* Django Admin provides more or less no-code Campaign CRUD interface
* Map this to discord "active projects" channels/roles?
* Is this oriented toward projects or specific actions? (example: fill out this form to email your senator).
* Auto generate and or customize forms when creating a campaign.
* District specificity!
* Came up in D4 meeting
* Would like to do some more recruitment in our neighborhood specific, people who aren't currently attending meetings.
* Flyers or some other District specific way of recruiting.
* A webpage that represents a specific district, meettings, events and projects relevant to that district.
* D4 leader doesn't have a way to contact the (Fifteen!) people who attended first meeting. It's a G-Mail list right now.
* District specific mailing list signups. Discord isn't an ideal platform for some people.
* Vision: Flyer with a QR code for that district (District landing page!). Get signed up, get involved, and join discord at a later date.
* Discord Integration
* Python API
* Example app (namemelater)
* Create tools that react to messages, roles, events, etc!
* Other tools we may want to use
* Bike lane reporting channel
* Creating an app or channel that allows people to report with coordinates, send to reps and such!
* Does this conflict with BLU?
* Perhaps more generically! "Submissions" that link to specific campaigns or crowdsourcing opprotunities
* A picture worth a thousand words, what can we collect a ton of pictures of
* Generic "Submission" -> SMS, Discord, Website, App forms
* Associated map where you can see the reports
* City Data
* Report discrencies in OpenData against actual conditions?
* Highlight the delta!
* Kimee's Research
* Gov Solicitaiton: https://www.volpe.dot.gov/work-us/small-business-innovation-research/us-dot-sbir-fiscal-year-20242-fy242-solicitation-now
* "Complete Streets AI Initiative - Generating, Integrating, and Activating Data for Mobility"
* A pre-offer webinar will be held on March 21, 2024, from 1:00 p.m.—2:30 p.m. ET for small businesses interested in applying to the U.S. DOT SBIR fiscal year 2024.2 solicitation. The webinar will feature information about the SBIR program, eligibility and requirements, offer preparation, and the evaluation process. * Looking to collect data with bike mounted sensors and AI
* Can you pick up information on infrastructure status and proximity to vehicle traffic.
* Does LTS data from DVRPC provide a source of truth for this kind of work?
* What is PBAs role? Promoting/leveraging this data set?
* Having a regional advocacy org on-board may be helpful in RFP, legitimizes the project.
* https://rutiapp.bike
* Used LTS data in the past to help plan routes through philly
* Other tools we can grab from:
* Strava
* Has an API. Is there a way to gamify PBA?
* Linking a given route to some kind of public metric/post
### Things for discussion in nexts tech planning:
* GitHub vs GitLab
* Government Money???
