# Backstory Archetypes
## Archetype: TGJMC Military
### Subarchetype: Marine
You spent years as a member of the illustrious TerraGov Marine Corps, serving as a marine aboard one of their vessels and following it whereever it went.
### Subarchetype: Tanker
You found your way into the Tank Corps of the TerraGov Army, learning the workings of an M32A3 inside and out and going to whichever warzone needed tank support at that given time.
### Subarchetype: Infantry
Joining up with the TerraGov Army, you became a member of the PFI- jetsetting around the galaxy to whatever warzone needed your attention and developing blisters and callouses in the process.
### Subarchetype: Starfighter Pilot
Excelling in pilot training, you were selected for the Starfighter Corps, giving you the flashiest job in the TGJMC as a top gun.
### Subarchetype: Military Mechanic
An aptitude for fixing things got you into the Army Engineers Corps, fixing everything from jeeps and engines through to tanks and ground-support vehicles.
### Subarchetype: Military Police
You spent years as part of the TGMPC, enforcing order on base and corraling drunks back from leave safely. You never could quite get the smell of booze vomit out of your boots.
### Subarchetype: Naval Bridge Personnel
Aboard one of TerraGov's larger vessels, you served as part of the bridge crew, tasked with getting the ship to wherever it needed to be in one piece.
### Subarchetype: Force Recon
You spent a tour of duty in the Force Recon Corps, acting as the eyes and ears of the army, and honing your marksmanship with long-ranged weaponry.
### Subarchetype: Honour Brigade
You joined the military, and instead of going to war, you got the dubious honour of guarding a monument. Still, at least with you there, nobody was able to blow out the eternal flame.
## Archetype: Freightrunner
The life of a freightrunner is dynamic and mobile- you're always on the move, taking cargo from point A to point B as quickly and safely as you can. It's a great way to see the galaxy, though in less secure parts of the galaxy it can be a dangerous job as you attract the attention of pirates. Still, once you get those crates over the line, the pay's generally good.
### Subarchetype: Freelancer
Instead of tying yourself down to a single company, you spent your freightrunning career as a freelancer, taking whatever jobs struck your fancy with your own personal ship.
### Subarchetype: Contract Hauler
Signing up with a shipping company, you lived out a career as a freightrunner with your schedule filled up for you.
### Subarchetype: Smuggler
Deciding that making money legit with freight was no way to live, you started running cargo that was "less-than-legal" to make some extra scratch.
### Subarchetype: Blockade Runner
Your freightrunning career took a turn for the dangerous as you became a blockade runner- taking jobs running cargo to and from planets under blockade by a hostile power, and taking extra hazard pay for the trouble.
### Subarchetype: Commercial Pilot
Hey, people are basically cargo, right? You spent years as a commercial pilot, ferrying people across the galaxy to wherever they needed to go.
## Archetype: Criminal
### Subarchetype: Drug Dealer
Whether it was BlastOff or Gore, you always had the ticket to a good time for your clients, so long as they had the cash. The addiction keeping them coming back, that was just a nice bonus.
### Subarchetype: Charlatan
You made big cash with big cons, selling "beachfront property" on desert planets to unsuspecting buyers. And hey, it let you see the galaxy, as you kept moving to avoid any repercussions.
### Subarchetype: Jailbird
They say that prisons have a revolving door, and nobody sums that up better than you. You never spent much time outside of a cell as an adult, with your criminal endeavours always finding you behind bars before too long.
### Subarchetype: Gangster
Falling in with an established crime organisation, you pledged your criminal services to their enterprise- be that slinging drugs, cracking heads, or making sure Johnny Tightlips sleeps well with the fishes, you did it all.
## Archetype: Medical
### Subarchetype: Medical Doctor
