# E-mail for CernVM-FS tutorial attendees
*Subject: Practical info for CernVM-FS tutorial at EUM'21*
Dear {{first_name}},
Thank you very much for registering for the CernVM-FS tutorial at the 6th EasyBuild User Meeting (EUM'21; see also https://easybuild.io/eum/#cvmfs-tutorial).
This email includes important practical information for the tutorial.
Please take some time to read it carefully, and let us know if you have any questions by replying to this message, via eum@lists.ugent.be .
If your plans have changed and you are no longer able join the tutorial, please let us know ASAP so we can cancel your registration. No hard feelings!
## Tutorial sessions
The CernVM-FS tutorial at EUM'21 is spread over four days (Tue-Fri Jan 26-29 2021).
Each day, there will be a ~1h live session where we will cover (and demo) specific aspects of CernVM-FS, at 09:00 UTC.
## Tutorial website
The CernVM-FS tutorial is available at https://cvmfs-contrib.github.io/cvmfs-tutorial-2021/ .
In the first tutorial session, we'll cover parts 0-2.
The other 3 parts will be covered on Wed-Fri, one per day.
## Zoom live sessions
To attend the live tutorial sessions, please use this link to join the Zoom call (same link for all four days).
https://tiny.cc/eum21_cvmfs
Please don't share this link with others, only registered attendees should join the Zoom call!
## Recordings on YouTube
The tutorial sessions will be recorded and made available via the EasyBuild YouTube channel shortly after, so even if you're in a different time zone you should be able to follow the tutorial, with a small delay.
A YouTube playlist collecting the tutorial sessions is available at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhnGtSmEGEQg8fY5t6nfjxGOYTfueDHwM .
## Hands-on
At the end of the first 3 sessions an exercise is included so you can get some hands-on experience with CernVM-FS.
We hope that you'll find some time to work on the exercise after watching the live session. We estimate that solving the exercise should not take more than 1 hour.
During Tue-Fri Jan 26-29 2021, resources are available in Microsoft Azure (sponsored by Microsoft) which you can use to solve the exercises.
We will guide you through the practical aspects of using these resources during the first tutorial session.
## Credentials for CycleCloud
To get access to the resources in Microsoft Azure (via CycleCloud), you will need the following credentials:
user name: {{user_name}}
password: {{password}}
These credentials are *personal*, please don't share them with anyone!
## Support
We will try to make time available for answering questions after each live sessions (via the Zoom breakout room, if needed).
Throughout the day, support for the hands-on will be provided via the #eum21-cvmfs-tutorial channel on the EasyBuild Slack (https://easybuild.slack.com/archives/C01KFR7MPE1).
To join the EasyBuild Slack, register via https://easybuild-slack.herokuapp.com/ .
If needed, we can set up an additional Zoom call to answer questions or provide more hands-on help (time permitting).
## Questions
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out via eum@lists.ugent.be, or via the EasyBuild Slack, preferably in the #eum21-cvmfs-tutorial channel.
regards,
the CernVM-FS tutorial organisers
