## Re-schedule CernVM-FS coordination meeting

- So Jakob can attend too
- General agreement that 2nd Monday of the month at 17:00 CE(S)T would work
- Next meeting: **Mon** April 11th 2022
- some people will not be able to attend due to vacations (Dave, Kenneth)

## Update on CernVM-FS 2.9.1 release

- Integration tests look OK, some a couple of minor test cases to look into for Radu
- Release should go into staging this week

## CentOS Stream 9

- No devel package for FUSE 2 in base repos anymore, only in extra CRB repo - https://centosfaq.org/centos/centos-9-stream-crb-repo/
- Only other issue was that Python 2 is no longer available (but not needed anymore thanks to GeoAPI fixes)
- Necessary changes won't be included for CernVM-FS 2.9.1, but packages will be available to install manually
- Integration tests will be dealt with later

## RISC-V support?

- may start evaluating this
- expectations would be that it could work?
- CernVM-FS dependencies are quite high-level, except maybe some hashing libraries

## CVMFS monitoring

- New tool to collect data from Stratum-0 / Stratum-1: https://github.com/EESSI/cvmfs-server-scraper
- Used to create EESSI status page: http://status.eessi-infra.org + https://github.com/EESSI/status-page
- Feedback Dave:
- polling Stratum-1 for every repository it hosts would be quite slow
- maybe option can be added to let is leverage cvmfsmon if available?
- also way to let it run server-side to collect info in one place so it can be collected easily with a single query
- Would be interesting to add to https://github.com/cvmfs-contrib
- Dave is looking for help with building of cvmfs-contrib packages via OBS

## Q&A

- Any plans for support of ACLs?
- Use case of collaboration in context of EGI
- Currently only possible through indirect mechanism?
- Requires cvmfs-x509-helper package (available in cvmfs-contrib, https://github.com/cvmfs-contrib/egi-cvmfs/)
- Metadata is publicly available, contents are not
- Not suitable for sharing code, only for data
- Everything has to come in directly from server, not via proxy of squid cache, so has significant performance impact

- Radu: no plans currently to implement proper ACL support, could be a research project
- Could also be done via Tailscale (https://tailscale.com) and Wireguard to create a VPN
