How does the system find out if there is a double spend on distant nodes?
Each node takes care of its vicinity, they don't watch the whole tangle.

Issuing transactions circularly does not contribute to increase the mana, as mana is linked to the tokens transferred. Thus, it is very unlikely mana centralization will ever pose a security threat. Centralization would require such attacking nodes to issue a majority of the transactions in the Tangle. Given the low cost of running a node, combined with the incentive for individuals to avoid any nodes issuing an “attack level” number of transactions, this attack vector is not very realistic. Moreover, it is important to note, that the final version of a reputation system for the nodes in the Tangle will consider more aspects than just mana and the shimmer module also contains additional protection mechanisms. As such, having a large amount of mana alone will not be sufficient to attack the network.

How do you plan to prevent a 51% attack with the coordicide? Suppose I run a lot of scam nodes as "good nodes" for a "long time" before I turn on Iota and attack him. :-)
So I have a very good reputation with these nodes in the tangle and then start a 51% attack. (If I understood it right I would have to send tokens back and forth to increase my reputation? Shimmer then helps with my 51% attack and even overwrites good nodes with my data. Theoretically I might not even need 51% because of my high reputation?
Do large stock exchanges then prevent such an attack, since they probably have the "most mana" and more power? If big stock exchanges prevent this attack, I would like to ask my question again with the addition:
What prevents "big exchanges" joining together and launching such an attack? .
I compare this with the criticism of Bitcoin and the "big mining centers" that can be counted on a hand, if they could join together and successfully launch an attack against the Bitcoin network.
I do not understand how in a "small tangle" network this can be ensured without a coordinator.

Does the Coordicide require a transition? What's the process?
Will the mainnet transaction structure change? Any extraDataDigest, issuanceTimestamp or bundleNonce fields?
Will some nodes centralize the mana (eg. exchanges, nodes.thetangle.org)? Is that important? Does Mana expire? Can Mana be monetized? Will IF still have a public node endpoint (ie. nodes.iota.org)?
Will the API change? Any method to get the list of nodes and their amount of mana? Will getNeighbors stay optionally public or always private?
What about adding the reputation and/or mana in the peering distance? Bad nodes would peer each others, same for good (= high performance) nodes. Will manual peering still be possible?
Do nodes have to keep a minimal uptime to maintain their reputation?
Do think this is better for an entity to have 1 high reputation node or 10 medium reputation nodes?
What's the current state of the Coordicide? Does IF have a internal testnet? Any roadmap? Wen?
What peer reviews did you get? Which awesome simulations results would you like to share with us?
How will node denunciation work? The health of nodes is now incentivised (which is very good), how can I detect eclipse attack and be proactive to protect my reputation?
For load-balancers: Do clients need to stay in contact with the same node during a transfer? (in the case clients need to call a node multiple times to issue a transfer)
Will IF give a fairly long adaptation time to third-parties (eg. explorers)?
Is Ict something about Coordicide? Will you keep the same IXI approach?
What about NbPoW?
Any thing to say to people who based a business on the current IOTA implementation (eg. powsrv.io)?
The approach is awesome. Thanks a lot for the work. Is there anything I can do to help you?
