Trial of Knighthood (Padawan) --- ###### DrHawke # Trial of Skill ## Soresu ### Combat #### Duels :::danger Pending ::: ### Detailed Explanation #### Lightsaber Form III: Soresu :::success Complete ::: Soresu, known, also, as the Way of the Mynock, is the third lightsaber form out of seven total forms and it is well known for being an all-out defensive form in combat. It was, originally, devised from the need to deflect lightsaber bolts and was based on the first form’s deflective training; it’s meant to represent a non-aggressive philosophy, which is widely adopted by many Jedi. Soresu was meant to use the momentum of battle, and one’s opponents, to turn the tide and find victory through defensive means and taking advantage of the flow of combat. On Roblox this form doesn’t hold the same defensive prowess, and actually has one of the only swinging animations that does not clearly show the end of the animation, and the beginning of the next swing; this makes it prime for use in a slightly offensive field, while maintaining a strong defensive stance. It does not dominate in any particular field, however, it’s an outstanding all-around pick and it matches well with my combat style, though I have much to learn. While this is the case, one may still use the stance in it’s intended use, although on this platform that relies less on the stance and more on the practitioner’s decision to play very defensively. # Trial of Courage ### Journey #### Evidence :::success Complete ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/986873254159454209/988661819654684702/Screenshot_1488.png) Pictured above is our escorting the VIP to the Lecture Halls. ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/986873254159454209/988661820157984828/Screenshot_1490.png) Pictured above is our escorting the VIP to the Archives. ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/986873254159454209/988661820690685972/Screenshot_1491.png) Pictured above is the VIP taking part in some mat-sitting in the Archives. ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/986873254159454209/988661821378539560/Screenshot_1493.png) Pictured above is our escorting the VIP to the Combat Quarters. ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/986873254159454209/988661819910533120/Screenshot_1489.png) Pictured above is the VIP taking in the scenery outside of the temple. ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/986873254159454209/988661821642772540/Screenshot_1495.png) Pictured above is a list of the Sith in-server at the time of this mission. ::: #### Summary :::success Complete ::: My assigned mission was to work together with my master in order to defend our assigned 'VIP', who's name was CaduceusHawke. In this mission the VIP, my master, and I ventured around the entirety of the map, visiting just about every location one can visit; the archives, lecture rooms, and even some statues and locations outside of the temple were visited. Throughout this venture I employed keen situational awareness,as we encountered a few Sith, and we were able to escape those situations without conflict through descelation and avoidance. All-in-all these experiences were majorly productive and instructive, as a Padawan; my master was also very helpful in the completing of the mission. ### Youngling Training Sessions :::success #1 - Complete ![](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/936327851429494814/987966119027564584/unknown.png) ::: :::success #2 - Complete ![](https://i.imgur.com/sTo3lll.png) ::: :::success #3 - Complete ![](https://i.imgur.com/VB0LpIJ.png) ::: ### Ethics & Philosophy :::success Completed ![](https://i.imgur.com/mwaFdyq.png) ::: # Trial of Spirit ## The Jedi Code, Explanation ### Recited :::info **The Jedi Code** ___ There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force. ::: ### Explanation The Jedi Code is one of priceless value to our order, its words represent the very essence of which should make up the core of every Jedi and they act as a guiding line that every Jedi should serve to follow. This code makes us adhere to our best selves and it functions as a reminder to put sound reasoning and faith in the force over all else. The Jedi Code explains that there is no emotion, ignorance, passion, chaos, or death and that there is, instead, peace, knowledge, serenity, harmony, and the Force, respectively; it is attempting to explain to us that we should forego those things that would captivate us in immorality and encourage the use of vices. The Jedi Code is what separates us from our counter parts in the Sith and make us rational beings with a strong sense of justice and tradition. It is because of this that the code must always be adhered to and followed, it must be taught and practiced, always; and it can be applied to all that one does in life. ## Padawanship ### Overview :::success Complete ::: I've spent a little over a week as a Padawan and, during such time, I learned much from myself, my master, and those around me; I've picked up many tips for dueling, though I still find myself being bested by those around me on occasion, and I've learned much in the ways of training Younglings and in my understanding of the force. My time training younglings has given the experience need to interact with them as a Knight, teaching their full classes and helping them move forward as future Jedi. Above all else, I learned that I must know what I don't know and be willing to seek out knowledge from all of the resources around me; I must remain humble and seek the best version of me, and project that unto others. I feel as though the culmination of all that I've learn has prepared me for my time as a Jedi Knight, and will serve as a strong pillar for the future to be built on. # Trial of Insight ## Councils ### Jedi High Council :::success Complete ::: The Jedi High Council is the highest council of all of the councils in the Jedi Order and has the responsibility of governing the Jedi Order. They hold a prestigious role which impacts every single Jedi in the order, including themselves and the other councils. Their decisions may drive the order to ruin or create new rules that will lead us to greater heights and levels of organization. They are the pinnacle of our order and are something we should strive to resemble in our time here, and in the future; they are truly honorable Jedi and attempt to represent the order's best interest in all they do. ### Council of Reconciliation :::success Complete ::: The Council of Reconciliation holds an important place in our order which I find to be crucial for a group of this size, which is continuing to grow; with a group this size, simply expecting leaders to keep law and peace won't do any longer. Roles, like Jedi Investigators, Peacekeepers, and Ambassadors all contribute, greatly, to ensuring that the law is not breached by any Jedi and, if they are broken, that aforementioned Jedi meet swift punishment for their crimes against the order and other Jedi. While those three are keeping the temple, and it's Jedi within, safe from each other, the Temple Guard's duty is to do so from our enemies on the outside; they are meant to prevent our enemies access to the temple and, should they find a method inside, to remove them by any means. I plan on entering into this council in the future, and I must say, this council and its responsibilities may not be liked by many, as these sorts of organizations typically are. However, they have my utmost admiration for the work they do. ### Council of First Knowledge :::success Complete ::: The Council of First Knowledge is, at first glance, simply a group that handles training within the Jedi Order; however, upon obtaining proper understanding, they have laid out all of the training, and documents pertaining thereto, which make up the most essential knowledge we all, as Jedi, know to be true. They are of the utmost importance to our order, and maintain the knowledge, and the means for which to convey that knowledge, for future Roblox generations of Jedi. They also have a plethora of roles within the order, from teachers of knowledge to crystal experts, and all forms in between; it’s truly commendable what they encompass. While I don’t plan on entering into the Council of First Knowledge in the future, they have my complete respect for what they do to further our cause of peace. ### Council of Reassignment :::success Complete ::: The Council of Reassignment's primary prerogative is to serve as an organization tasked with teaching the ideologies, and completing the missions, of the Jedi Service Corps. Their task is a noble one, in ensuring that Jedi were never without a duty to uphold within the order; they would reassign them to new classes or duties if they failed their trials and ensured that none were left out to rot. This rings true in lore as well; they carry that tradition of assisting Jedi, on Roblox as well. Without them many Jedi would be stuck, masterless, simply stuck waiting for one to choose them. However, they offer them a place to belong, and instructors to teach them what they know, and offer methods of improvement; the Jedi Order would, truly, be stuck without this council and its services. ## Jedi Knight Case Study ### Writing :::success Complete ::: A Jedi Knight is many things; a student to the Force, a master to a padawan, a protector of the order, and a maker of peace between him and his enemies, among many other things. Knights are paramount to the order, even though they are only the first step in carving your own path as a Jedi and far from an understanding of the Force, and their place within it. They represent the step on the latter that every hungry Jedi wants to reach and serves as a reminder that the higher they climb, the greater their responsibility is to themselves and others; something so sacred should not be so easily glanced over or forgotten. Knights serve as many future Jedi's first look into what it means to be a Jedi, and what our order has to offer them in the days to come; as such it is incredibly important that we have Jedi Knights to teach these younglings, and future Jedi, and it's more important that they take solace in their work. # Trial of Flesh ### Padawan Term :::warning In Progress ::: **Start:** 06/16/2022 **End:** N/A **Term Length:** ≈7 Day(s) ### Interview Questions :::danger Pending :::
