# New root domain Approve and Configure

Adding a new root domain is simple but manual. Until we get a sexy wizard for it here are the steps through etherscan

## What is this for

The minion ENS is a decentralized way to manage an ENS root domain through a DAO. So any member can claim a subdomain for their member address at any time, any non member address would require a minion proposal to be voted on by the DAO.

## Approve

Go to the base ens registrar at 0x57f1887a8BF19b14fC0dF6Fd9B2acc9Af147eA85 and approve your ens token id for the minion ens.

The minion ens registrar address is 0x5Cb634C351A03FF2BfB59C73dB8B429FFdFBbB62

To get your token id there are a few ways

* you can go to your wallet address in etherscan, select the ens erc721 from the token dropdown. this should have a list of all root domains you own. more details can be seen in the transaction.
* you can get the sha3 of the name for the id

# Configure

now go to the etherscan page for the minion ens registrar

enter your root domains name and use your DAOs minion address

your address should be added to the list at
https://minion.raidguild.org/ens/[your minion address]

your members can now claim any subdomain they would like. If you are claiming a subdomain for a non member address it will go through a dao proposal

## Note

At this point the owner of the root can reclaim ownership at any time. So it would be best to transfer ownership of the root to the minion
