[toc] # TZconnect Marketing Strategy ## Marketing Purpose at TZconnect Adoption in Tezos starts from its community: marketing is the way for us to speak to the community and build excitement for the projects that TZconnect is betting on. #### Branding - **Cool 😎 + Revelvant ⚡️:** I believe Tezos currently holds first place in this positioning when it comes to blockchains, thanks to its cheap fees and eco-friendliness. We need to take advantage of this and stay in the front. All marketing campaigns should either speak "cool + relevant" or be ampliying a voice that is "cool + relevant." #### Messages - While everyone gets frustrated with Ethereum prices and Bitcoin bros, Tezos is already partnering with real-world artists, festivals, events, museums, and more. Tezos is providing real utility in these spaces. - Cool people/institutions support Tezos. - Tezos sees and amplifies the voices of Tezos' diverse, grassroots communities. #### Marketing goals: - Provide all tzconnect projects with baseline marketing services such as content creation and social media management - Provide marketing campaign strategy + execution support - Hiring/employee branding for TZconnect - Content creation/branding for TZconnect - Communicate what tzconnect is doing to Tezos and community ## Marketing Needs tzconnect needs two types of marketing: on the ground help for the projects being incubated, and comms strategy for tzconnect. - the **Marketing project manager** provides baseline content, brand, + social media support for all tzconnect projects - while the **comms strategist** communicates all the work done by tzconnect to tezos and its community, connects the tezos marketing ecosystem (tzconnect partners, tezos labs, foundation, tezos), and provide marketing strategy for projects. #### Marketing services (offered to tzconnect projects) - Content creation (MPM) - writing PRs (MPM), design support (Anita) - Social media content and management (MPM) - Brand management (CS/MPM) - Event Support (CS/MPM) - Creative campaigns (CS) - swag, pop-ups, veri-poap ticket raffles etc #### TZ Connect Comms - Newsletter + website (CS) - Monthly comms report to Blokhaus/Foundation (CS) - TZconnect marketing (mainly employee branding) (CS) - Tezos Documentation support (CS/MPM) ## Proposal Future structure ### 2 People - tzconnect comms strategist (part time) - Coordinates with foundation and Tezos marketing teams, providing information about TZconnect projects - Marketing support for global hackathons - provide strategy + campaign support for projects - PoC for tzconnect marketing partners - provide video/screencast support for Tezos documentation - Manages tzconnect newsletter, website - tzconnect projects marketing manager (part time) - Provide copy editing for press releases of TZconnect projects such as despace, WAC, d-art, etc - Manages social media for tzconnect and projects - Manages project brands - Report key information regarding each project to TZconnect commms - (When with capacity) provide marketing campaign support for TZconnect comms - shared roles - event support (when with capacity) - marketing OKRs - tzconnect marketing growth strategy - branding strategy for tzconnect ### Meetings #### Marketing Circle Weekly meeting around marketing for tzconnect and projects **Mandatory**: Comms strategist and Marketing Projects Manager **Optional**: Hackathons (kitti), Ecosystem (petra), Project leads (IE despace, WAC, etc), design (anita) - For comms lead and marketing manager to sync, also open for projects to join and request help - Possibly kitti to join as well for hackathon event scheduling ## Identity - website - use to showcase tzconnect and as a cta for grantees + projects - We need to also create some sort of automated flow for these since tzconnect is already at capacity - External newsletter/blog - Monthly updates on tzconnect projects, use to share with tezos as well - Twitter - send day-to-day updates, use for amplifying campaigns shared by other projects - Youtube channel - TZconnect educational videos
