# Solid DEI & Community Research Plan
## Background
* As the Solid community grows, we want to be able to include and support people of all backgrounds, industries, and identities.
* We want to find out how our community is comprised, what issues people might be facing within the community, and how to make it better, more welcoming, and ultimately, larger
* We also want to lead the way in inclusive, participatory communities, as Solid represents a reset for the web and that means looking at what doesn't work in communities like this and how to improve them

## Goals
* Determine who is currently in our community
* Gauge participation level
* Discover pain points
* Define personas
* Identify areas to improve the Solid ecosystem

* Live interviews with representatives of different parts of the community
* Website and forum analytics

## Timelines
* The survey will launch in June and be open for 2 weeks
* Data analysis will be done the following week after the survey closes
* The survey will help identify people we can interview
* Interviews will be organized and scheduled in the following weeks
