# /TG/s Mapping Verbs
The verbs themselves are in a functional state. They're not good, but not bad either. They provide much needed information back to mappers, alebite it, in a very clunky, disorganized manner. Some of the verbs work and provide needed information, while others are either broken, or are semi-functional but are a disorganized mess.
# The Good
- Camera Display Range: Theres no issue here, although it can be greatly imrpoved upon. Maybe different colors can be used per camera to show what range is being overlapped? (This could get exceptionally noisy)
- Count Station Food/Stacks: It does its job. Feels.. sorta useless, but its something. Cool statistics.
- Generate Job Landmarks: Not really used in the modern day since we aren't adding jobs anymore, nor need updates. Still a really good tool for what its worth.
- Intercom Range Display: Depending on the station size and intercom number, it can take a moment to render all the markers. It does its job, but is something else that can always be exceptionally improved.
- Show Roundstart AT List/Marker - Active turfs bad. UI can be improved for sure.
# The Bad
- Station Z Report: Noted by Vire. Reports lots of useless and correct things. Has tons of relatively useless checks for things like request consoles that shouldn't be in all areas - very bad signal/noise ratio. Station Z report could for-sure do with a face lift code wise, it checks way too broad of a range for areas, and when some areas (like maintenance) don't really need all of the required stuff (minimally maybe an APC and air alarm?)
# The Ugly
- Camera report: Noted by Vire. Useless and inaccurate. May need to be overhauled. Could do with an ignore to the Cent-Z level (since Thunderdome has unmounted cameras).
- Check Plumbing: Noted by Vire. Spams errors due to static atmos tanks (can probably by ignored). This also spits its errors into chat.
- Test Areas (ALL): We can probably just nuke this entierly, and condense it into testing areas for: Station-Z, Lavaland-Z, CentCom-Z, and any specified space-z (if you're testing ruins or what not, you should really just be custom loading the map).
# The No Comment
I have no idea what these tools do, please tell me!
- Check Atmos Chamber Devices
- Count Objects All/On Level: I can assume what these do, but don't know where to put them. They just kinda seem.. useless?
- Debug Z-Levels
- Disable All Communications
- Show Map Report List
# The Future
It may be possible to convert the verbs used to TGUI format. Unlike Admin Tools (which are a near necessity), if mapping verbs fail, it isn't an issue and we (mappers) can restart our locals if needed. They shouldn't be readily needed on live servers (although can still be used to check the current state of map(s) on live).
