# Broad Base Campaign
## TITLE | SLOGAN
brainstorm:
keep a project that came from the people alive, to keep a project or a program that was nurtured by normal people like me and you, keep it alive, keep it independent, keep it for everyone, keep it for every good project. It's because you apply your hobby, it's open for everyone who wants to nurture knowledge and skills, it's open for job training, it is vertical and horizontal--everyone has voice, everyone can contribute, influence, if the cause is good, you can organize around it.

## GOALS
- a gift of any size from at least 200 different countries (hopefully many from each)
- fun, mapping community interaction online--across all of the different communities
- use OSM blog and @openstreetmap to amplify and inform
- establish a tradition of OSMF annual or semi-annual giving to support OSM infrastructure and operations, as distinct from OSMF membership
- improve payment pages so they reflect the community's story, values and diversity
## STRATEGIES
- engage OSM CWG
- BoFs at SotMUS and SotMEU
- Regional Ambassadors do fun, monthly outreach using the donate link.
## Regional Ambassador Role
three regional clusters: 5 + people from local communities working together as "champions" for the campaign
culturally themed "calls to donate" on social media and in channels
North America and Western Europe, Northern Europe, Oceania - 4 champions
East Europe, Africa, Middle East, Latin American - 5 champions
Asia,SEA,South Asia - 5 champions
