# Influence Crew Market - Maintenance This is the seventh in a series stepping through the crew market for [Influence](https://www.influenceth.io/), hoping to find some small nuggests of alpha to help you to make informed decisions when it comes to secondary purchases. For those not familiar, please reference the [Crew Member Jobs list on the official wiki here](https://wiki.influenceth.io/en/gameplay/crew-members). Check out other installments in this series [here.](https://hackmd.io/@Coldsnap) Usual caveat: figures and ETH prices in the article were accurate only at the time of writing, but likely to be rapidly outdated as the market moves and new crew are minted. ### Numbers Next to Logistics, which we covered in the previous article, Maintenance is the second-largest department in Influence. As the T4 distribution demonstrates, Maintenance is a Mining/Engineering-focussed department which, given the large numbers applied, we would expect to see in heavy usage in the game. The presumed bonuses look likely to be related to both building and ship operations, aligned to the theme that Maintenance crew can fix things and help equipment run more smoothly. Obvious utility there for both on and off-planet operations, so I expect these crew to be quite flexible. As above, Miners and Engineers appear at every tier within Maintenance, while the other three classes appear variably. Tier distribution: |Tier| Job |Total | Specialists|Citizens| | ----------- | ----------- | -- | -- | -- | | T1 | Facilities Supervisor |90 | 17 | 73 T2 | EVA Technician |141 |23 |118 T3 | Electrician |309 | 58|251 T4 | Maintenance Technician|298 | 30|268 ### T1 - Facilities Supervisor |Tier | Class| Job | Total | Specialists|Citizens|Floor | ----------- | ----------- | -- | -- | -- |--|--| | T1 | Miner| Facilities Supervisor|50|13|37|0.35 T1 |Engineer |Facilities Supervisor |24|3|21|0.5 T1 |Merchant | Facilities Supervisor|3||3|na T1 |Scientist | ||| T1 |Pilot |Facilities Supervisor|13|1|12|5 Next to the humble Chef, Facilities Supervisor is the second most numerous tier 1 role. There is a good spread across all classes except for Scientist. Still easy to pick up Miners and Merchants pretty cheaply. The obvious chase cards here are the three Merchant / Facilities Supervisors (none for sale) and the thirteen Pilot / Facilities Supervisors (only one listed right now at a hopeful 5 ETH). ### T2 - EVA Technician |Tier |Class| Job | Total | Specialists|Citizens| Floor| | ----------- | ----------- | -- | -- | -- | -- |--| | T2 | Miner| EVA Technician |71|11|60|0.15 T2 |Engineer |EVA Technician|45|7|38|0.125 T2 |Merchant | |||| T2 |Scientist |EVA Technician |2||2|na| T2 |Pilot |EVA Technician|23|5|18|1| Similar distribution to T1, but with Scientists replacing Merchants. There are only two Scientist / EVA Technicians. This makes them the rarest crew in the Maintenance department as well as one of only seven crew class/job combos that exist only in pairs. May have taken one off the market myself yesterday for what I thought was a steal at 0.15 ETH. ### T3 - Electrician |Tier | Class| Job | Total | Specialists|Citizens|Floor| | ----------- | ----------- | -- | -- | -- |--|--| | T3 | Miner|Electrician |164|31|133|0.048 T3 |Engineer | Electrician |119|20|99|0.05 T3 |Merchant | |||| T3 |Scientist ||||| T3 | Pilot |Electrician|26|7|19|3 No Merchants OR Scientists here at T3. Some sellers taking a punt on the price of Pilots as Pilots at T2 are currently cheaper. Perhaps an opportunity there. ### T4 - Maintenance Technician |Tier |Class| Job | Total | Specialists|Citizens|Floor| | ----------- | ----------- | -- | -- | -- |--|--| | T4 | Miner|Maintenance Technician|268|27|241|0.037 T4 |Engineer| Maintenance Technician |30 |3|27|0.075 T4 |Merchant ||||| T4 |Scientist ||||| T4 |Pilot ||||| And here at T4 no classes aside from the core of Miners and Engineers. Very very cheap to acquire a Miner / Maintenance Tech. ### Summary Like the Logistics department, because Maintenance crew are out there in fairly sizeable numbers, the market has had more opportunity to feel out prices. As such I wouldn't say there's much value to be had here right now. We'll need to wait for new developments in the game. Value hunters would be best advised to look for bargains in the two rare class/job combos for the department - Merchant / Facilities Supervisor and Scientist / EVA Technician. These crew are very scarce indeed. Either that or floor hunting for snipes at any tier. Pilots seem like a good catch as well, but that's the case across all classes/job roles. Game-wise, I would expect given the thematic synergy these crew to well-combine on mining and engineering teams, or on shipping crews where there is a need to maintain the ship. Pilot / Maintenance could be quite useful there, come to think of it. For fun, theorycrafted fully stacked minging crew: * 1x Miner / Logistics * 1x Miner / Maintenance * 1x Miner / Food Prep * 1x Miner / Management * 1x Engineer / Engineering
