Tri-Star Rework Pre-Draft
# Name Rework Ideas:
* Denonym missing, most important piece of the foundation. Can't Draft without!
* Thinking their title should be "Domain of (x)." or "(x) Domain."
* "Zone of (x)" or "(x) Zone" an alternative.
* Other idea is creating an acronym that sounds like a natural country name and denonym. Alternatively use no acronym and make Nation name that stands on its own. Famous examples of this can be found in many fictional examples: Osea and Erusea from Ace Combat. Other examples can be found in Citadel: Ahdomai for instance.
* Elysium/Elysia and other sweet-sounding 'utopian' names are on the table.

## Overview:
* Hybrid Regime, authoritarian executive but maintains elected representatives and respects the will of the people to a limit
* SuperIntelligent/AGI is at the centet of governance. Executive acts as the people's representstive of the AI.
* The AI has an almost reverent place in culture. AI Technicians and executive employees are slightly similar to a clergy with ceremonial robes and such, similar to Shinto shrine priestesses.
* Capital named Singheim
* Very technologically advanced, state has no distinction to 'normal,' 'genemodded,' and 'synthetic' people legally. Very post-human.
* Interventionist and very active on the foreign political stage. Imagine NATO/UN but a country.
## History:
* Began as a supranational research institute (~2060s) during reforms to humanity's space programs.
* Funding sourced from governments and private enterprises seeking to colonize and exploit the sol system
* Many research and colony initiatives are sponsored, funded, or managed by the institute
* Before the breakout of WW3, institute was tasked with many fringe and experimental research programs during technology races preluding to the war. Likely conducted controversial sciences such as very early genemodding, and space research. Think Big MT from FNV
* WW3 breaks out, the institute becomes very important to helping the Luna and Mars colonies reach self-sufficiency.
* The Institute plays a critical role in post-war development for all four factions in Sol, especially helping a war ravaged earth gain access to early space technologies.
* The tensions between different human groups during this phase make the political landscape very difficult for the Institute, who ends up setting up private research enterprises for the different factions while juggling each of their relations.
* The rise of early megacorporations and political tension forces the institute to invest in high-risk projects which require immense capital. One of these is AI Technology.
* The institute continues to attract many personnel due to its lack of external oversight and good workplace conditions.
* As humanity begins to look beyond exploiting the solar system
* Founded as a united sol government colonisation initiative.
* Given extreme amounts of freedom to operate outside of governance to pioneer advanced technologies for extrasolar colonisation.
* Utilized AI, Vatgrowing/Cloning, and other fringe technologies to rapidly develop base
* Culture of innovation and new-politic leads to integrating AI into colony governance
* As the group's holdings grow, develops technology to allow the AI to work between colonies
* Frontier war and other stuff causes lots of issues for them
* Have to make up losses with vatgrown/biosynthetics
* AI used to help develop technologies?
* After frontier conflict, rebrands into a sovereign state
* Uses its Supranational origins to be grandfathered into the Orion Confederation. Because of this they do not actually count as a member state, nor are they signatories to the accords.
* Orion Confederation allows this because they still contribute to the JSDF and share technology and trade. Additionally, their legal "extraterritorial" nature means they can carry out actions OriCon can't without member states, giving a "you scratch my back" type relationship.
* Becomes a major player on the frontier due to being the furthest human government from sol that isn't a corporation.
* Uses frontier similar to the megacorps to grow large and attract immigraiton and consolidate power.
* Starts out isolationist, becomes increasingly interventionist over time due to OriCon favors and how using military and colonial force allows them to exercise soft and hard power.
* Heavily involved in OriCon conflicts, particularly the Rye-Egress war
## Modern Day
## Government Structure
The Compact's government is a Hybrid-Regime that bears some similarities to now archaic Sol traditions. Authoritarian in nature, its structure is quite rigid and can give the impression of totalitarianism to more democratic nations.
## Military
The military operates on a mobile defense doctrine of small frigate and destroyer squadrons, supported by a few large battlegroup formations designed to provide power projection for both their contribution to the Orion Confederation and the Compact's frontiers.
On the ground, they heavily favor heavy infantry, based around mechanized and armored formations that tend towards technological and armament superiority, if somewhat lacking in supporting elements such as artillery or integrated aviation. What they excel in however is in command and control and electronic warfare, coordinating the actions of disparate elements widely separated in the field, while maintaining their communication and data-link security.
The internal security and intelligence apparatus of the Tri Star Compact is known broadly as “The Watch”, though the actual name of this organization is not known to the public.
let me look at the military stuff when you get to that point (murphy)
