# Staff Structure ## Staff Ranks ### Host Physically in charge of server box matters, financial details pertaining to the community including donations. Final say on decisions. ### Head Admins Organizes and handles HR details (hiring, dismissal, etc) for administrators. Intervenes in cases where administrators cannot come to a consensus on an issue, handles admin/player complaints - Handles ban appeals if the banning admin is no longer staff - **All age checks must be done through a head admin.** - At time of writing, head admins have physical access to remote desktop into the server. They are therefore also responsible for server maintenance that cannot be done through TGS alone. ### Game Admins In game on-server support in SS13 and discord. Day to day moderation - Game admins do not have the authority to override another game admin's decision other than in emergencies and extraordinary cases. ### Trial Admins Newer admins who are still learning the role. - While they should ask more veteran admins for advice, they are not required to automatically defer to a Game Admin's decisions if they are the one handling a ticket. ### Event Managers - Currently only applicable as a permanent position to the Citadel RP server Run and manage events on server, coordinate event schedules and player feedback on events. - Not an administrator: Should not handle administration issues ### Maintainer Work together to decide on code direction for the server. Review and merge (or close in cases of determining that said PR is contrary to code direction) pull requests. - Maintainers have TGS (Tgstation Server) control panel access. They have a responsibility to maintain testmerges and update the server where needed alongside the head admins. - Maintainers do not defer to anyone other than the host (and head admins in cases involving administration details within the game's code) in codebase decisions, however it is their responsibility to work together with the administration for the greater good of the server. - **Maintainers are responsible for moderating discussions on Citadel GitHub repositories.** ### Temporary Game Ranks - Players may be granted administration permissions on a round-to-round basis to assist with events. - They will not have access to IPs/CIDs/notes/sensitive data (pending codebase implementation) ### Exceptions **All staff with the necessary permissions are trusted to operate as moderators if no administrators are available during an incident.** - Obviously, they are held responsible for any decisions they make and any actions they take in regards to a situation. - This is especially applicable on discord if a conversation is becoming too unruly.
