# Citadel Sector XIV This document is the main dev organization for the Sector XIV project. The Sector XIV project includes: - Prelude: Pretty much a classic testing station setup - \[wip] Citadel Sector XIV: A server about exploration, contracts, and testing out ships. - \[wip] Citadel Roleplay XIV: A roleplay-oriented world simulator with organic conflict. We run a mono-repository system; all server(s) we run off of this will use only prototype changes and configuration defaults. All C# content **must** be the same, and as many prototypes as possible should be shared. Given most values are going to be somewhat well balanced game-design wise, I don't think this'll be a problem. ## Backdrop Given the different needs (as well as target audience) of the two planned branches, we'll have a lore **backdrop** developed and put into HackMD and the in-game guidebook as well as item descriptions on the repository. What form this will take is currently unknown. There are discussions to adapt parts of the `Citadel RP (BYOND)` lore-base, as the majority of that is *usable* - albeit not in its current form. We don't know yet. ## Planning: By Section Draft & planning links by game area, associated to the authors / coordinators. - Please keep coordinators up to date, if you take over a project have us add you to it. - If a link doesn't exist, it means it's so new we haven't written up anything for it yet! - Alternatively, it's just a marker for a backend system that has no detailed implementation notes associated with it. - When something is completed, it will stay in here and be ~~crossed out~~. - If you want to be on something, and there's no movement from the author, ask the author on the Discord - whether it is a maintainer or a contributor. Much like with Citadel Station 13, everyone is overworked, overstretched, and suffering from severe ADHD. - As a rule of thumb, the codebase (much like with 13) is a meritocracy and if you are willing to proceed on a project with an open and *critical* mind, the answer to such a request is almost always a 'yes'. ### World / Backend - MultiZ (`silicons - tentative`) - Spaceflight: Core (`silicons - tentative`, `bhijn - tentative`) - Spaceflight: Combat (`bhijn`) - Spaceflight: Ships (`silicons - tentative`, `bhijn - tentative`) ### Core Mechanics - Combat (`silicons - tentative`, `bhijn - tentative`) - Damage (`silicons - tentative`) ### Roles - [Silicons](/L_hIJnDIRjSaMX_-J-opNg) (`silicons`)
