## Toolbox 2025 Style Guide ### This Year's Theme Is "Space Western" Our map is set within a frontier town built into an asteroid's crater, where law is delivered at the end of a revolver and banditry runs rampant. Consider what you would see within a space western (the mandalorian, firefly, cowboy bebop) and do your best to populate the map with those kinds of scenes. Generally, the top floor will be our cool mapping decorations, and the bottom floor will include the arenas. If you want to expand a building/area you're mapping, just communicate with nearby mappers to avoid conflicts. ### Ideas / Tips I've set up a space for a pretty nice sheriff's office, and added a false wall at the back of one of the cells. This place could be furnished appropriately. There's a bunch of nooks and side areas that can be expanded / turned into bandit hideouts. The central building should be our saloon, the stairs lead to the arenas below. This building should be the flashiest and the easiest to find. I've used asteroid sand & sandy_dirt (sandy dirt for paths) for the terrain and roads, if you can find anything more suitable, please contact me (Cheshify) If you want to make other arrivals ships for the spaceport, feel free, just be sure to include spawnpoints in them. Don't be afraid to toss some sci-fi stuff into the map! Airlocks should be less used than wooden doors. The map has one finished room to show off what the style could look like. ### Arenas Check this guide out: https://hackmd.io/@TGEvents/SyhgTOagt Try to stick with the space western theme, bar brawls and toolbox-outs (shootouts) are a good idea. Don't overpopulate the maps with non-toolbox weapons. Non-western gimmicks should stand-out and not be the standard. MAKE SURE TO GIVE THE ARENAS AREAS. ### To Claim Space 1. Download the map in the event chat 2. Using areas, designate a portion of the map you would like to fill 3. Send chesh the filled area so he can update what's being done by who. 4. When you're done, send Cheshify the entire map file in the thread so things can be merged together. Arenas: Just make em and send em in.
