## Discord Rules & Guidelines
To offer a welcoming and safe server, all members are expected to abide and follow these rules at all times while communicating through this Discord server. These rules are in place for all members, nobody is exempt.
### NSFW Content
Everything you post must be considered safe for work. If you must ask if you should post something, it usually means you shouldn't.
### Respect other Server Members
Staff will not take time to reteach the golden rule that you are taught in preschool. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Any type of toxic behavior will be dealt with by a removal from the community.
### Server Nickname
Your server nickname in the Discord must be set as the following:
(Identifier) | (First Name) (Last Initial)
If you are Law Enforcement, your identifer will be your department callsign.
If you are a civilian, your identifer will be your in-game player ID.
### Profanity
Profanity, while allowed, should be limited. We're all grown-ups here (for the most part), but don't act tougher than you are. You may not use any type of slurs or derogatory language.
### Spamming, trolling, or sending unprovoked advertising messages
Nobody likes these kinds of people, don't be that person. Advertising a group, organization, or game is allowed if requested or provoked by another individual. Mass DMs to individuals who have not requested such information is not allowed.
### Abuse of Discord utilities and services
All text and voice channels have a purpose. These can be found in their description or the name of the voice chat. If you are still unsure of the purpose of a channel, ask the staff or another server member.
### Discord Terms of Service
You are using their service, therefore you agree to abide by their [Terms of Service](https://discord.com/terms) and [Community Guidelines](https://discord.com/guidelines). Further questions regarding these guidelines can be directed [here](https://discord.com/safety). Server staff members will not hesitate to contact the proper authorities, through the [Federal Bureau of Investigation's Internet Crimes Center](https://www.ic3.gov/), or the Discord Trust and Safety team, through their [Request Submission Tipline](https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). If it is discovered that you are in direct violation of any law, ordinance, or statute of your native country, proper action will be taken.
### The server staff are in a position of authority
Some rules are not important enough or are too mundane to be listed, therefore if the staff are informing you to stop or take a certain action, you must abide by their directions.
## Game Rules & Guidelines
### Roleplay
As any other FiveM Server, we mandate roleplay for all scenarios. While we are not as strict as others, we still expect care towards your gameplay.
#### Metagaming
Metagming is the act of knowing information that was acquired either out-of-character or by other means such as a Discord live stream. This information may not be used to roleplay with and must be disregarded.
Using name tags may also be considered as metagaming. Players may only enable name tags when they are attempting to gather information for a moderation report.
#### Power Gaming
Power gaming is the act of forcing roleplay on to someone else, such as forcing them to do actions. An example of this would be to steal another player's item , when realistically they could fight back and prevent the seizure.
#### Random Death Match (RDM)
Committing a random death match is the act of randomly killing another player without acting out a scene or having prior history with that player. In order to create any death match, there must be a clear roleplay scenario that would result in such an action taking place.
#### Revenge Killing
Revenge killing is the act of killing someone that wronged you in a previous life. You may not revenge kill, once you die you forget everything that happened in your prior life.
#### Out of Character
Players are expected to remain in-character at all times unless roleplay has been suspended by a moderator.
#### Non-Player Characters
All action done by, or to, NPC's may be disregarded and not applied towards roleplay scenes. This includes being hit by an NPC vehicle during a pursiut or hitting an NPC vehicle. Players are not expected to roleplay these types of scenes out.
With this in mind, intentional crime towards NPC's are not to be disregarded. This rule only extends to accidental interactions.
### New Life Rule
Whenever a player dies, they are given a new life and may not be pursued by law enforcement or have any other attachments from their previous life.
#### New Life for Civilians
When a civilian dies, they may respawn once the roleplay has been ended. If they are killed by law enforcement, they must wait for ambulance services to arrive or it must be cleared that the scene has been cleared. If a citizen is killed and they are not tended to within one minute they may respawn.
Upon respawning, the player may not return to the scene if it is still on-going. With this, they may not re-attach themselves into the roleplay scenario. For example, if they are killed while they are in a pursuit, they may not re-join others in the pursuit and continue to elude officers.
#### New Life for Law Enforcement
When Law Enforcement dies, they may immediately respawn their player. They may not revive unless the scene has been completely cleared. Once Law Enforcement has respawned, they may not remember any criminal activity that happened in their past life. They may only re-attach to an active scenario if they are called by another Law Enforcement Officer over the radio or other communicaitons.
Law Enforcement that re-attach to a scene must act as a new officer and may not use information acquired in a past life to aid them in their duties.
### Third Party Programs
You may not use third-party programs, such a mod menus, that are not the ones provided to you within the server.
### Playing in a Fair Manner
#### General Regulations
You must play in a fair manner. This includes only using what you are provided by the server. You may not use god mode, special items (explovies, etc..) or anything of the such to give yourself an unfair advantage.
#### Vehicle Damage
Players that are in a pursuit from Law Enforcement must roleplay damage that is occurred to their vehicle. This includes being pit by officers or hitting other objects (NPCs are not included). Law Enforcement must also abide by this regulation.
#### Personal Damage
Players that are in pursuit from Law Enforcement must roleplay damage to their person. This includes being tased, punched or any other kind of damage. You may not immediately start running after you have received damage to your person.
#### Jailing System
Due to flaws of the jailing system, you must be undragged and uncuffed for the booking officer to properly process you. If you have been successfully transported to a booking area, such as inside of a cell, you may no longer elude from Law Enforcement. You must allow the booking officer to process your arrest.
#### Throwables
Players may not spam any type of throwable. Players may only use a throwable every two minutes. Players may not use more than 5 throwables during a roleplay scenario, even if they are following the two minute rule. This rule applies to everyone.
### Area of Play
All players in the server must originate their scenes within the Area of Play. The AOP will be announced at the start of a server start-up. Any AOP changes will be noted in the server start-up channel and in-game.
### Priority Calls/Cooldown
#### In Progress
Any time a player sees the priority GUI stating in progress, this means that a priority is currently happening and there should be no other major roleplays during this time. This also means players may not commit felony crime or interfere with the priority scene in any way.
#### Cooldown
After a priority scene has ended, the server will enter a state of cooldown. This cooldown will last for 10 minutes. During this time, players may not roleplay major scenes or commit felony crime.
#### On Hold
When the On Hold status is showing, this means there are other circumstances that require the pause of major roleplays and felony crime. An example might be that if there are only a few officers and they are all on scene of a call that does not permit priority status.
### Scenario Interference
#### General Scene Regulations
While there is an active scenario, users that are not involved may not intervene or join in on the scenario unless it was planned prior to the start of said scenario.
#### Press Roleplay
While the Press is allowed to record and document scenes, they are still bound to the same interference regulations. Entering beyond a marked perimeter is still considered interfering with a scene. Players roleplaying as Press do not get a special exemption from this rule.
### Vehicle Usage
#### Vehicle Access
Players are given a variety of vehicles to use for roleplay. Players may only use the vehicles they are given access to by the server, unless given permission otherwise by moderation. Players may not steal NPC-driven vehicles. Players may not drive vehicles that overpowered, this includes amored vehicles, monster trucks etc..
Only Law Enforcement may drive police vehicles. There should be no police vehicle theft roleplays unless cleared by moderation.
#### Unattended Vehicles
Vehicles that are left unattended and improperly parked will be promptly deleted. No vehicles should be blocking NPC vehicles from properly flowing unless they are involved with an active scene.
#### Realistic Driving
Players must drive in a manner that is realistic. You may not drive in a manner that is not plausible in real life. A further example of this is driving 100+ MPH down a curvy road.
#### Super Cars
Players may not overpopulate the game with super cars. This includes mustangs, chargers or otherwise any vehicle that is capable of quickly reaching high speeds.
