# OSS Grants cadCAD Bounties & Proposals (though i think some of this operations will be done by bradden and team so we just need to figure out whats on us) ## Bounties Github issues with identified reviewers will posted as bounties, paid to submitters on code merge. Bounties should be scoped so that they can be done in afternoon or less by someone qualified to do it. They could take longer if the submitter is not fully knowledgeable in the subject matter domain. It is acceptable if a bounty does take longer, but compensation won't match an expected hourly basis due to learning over the course of doing the work. ### Posting The github issue and entry on OSS Grants will be drafted and posted by cadCAD Foundation, alongside the identified reviewers Github handle. #### Funding Posted bounties should contain both (1) Grant criteria and (2) How much money we want to allocate. The funding is moved to a known address so that OSS has the ability to administer the funds and the community can observe the bounty is funded. ### Assignment Only verified Active Members can claim they are working on an issue for a prospective bounty submission. #### Multiple Assignees Split Rewards Assignees should be made clear on GitHub issues and OSS Grants page. Multiple assignees can be assigned to a single bounty and equally split the bounty. #### Parallel Efforts Separate individuals or groups can claim to be working on a bounty and identified as Assignees to paralleled efforts on the bounty (though potentially inadvisible). These paralleled efforts will be reflected as a paralleled GitHub issue, linked to the original. Priority for review will be given to the earliest of Assignees. #### Unassignment Assignees can be unassigned from an issue at the discretion of The cadCAD Foundation or reviewers due to lack of activity on the work or communication from the Assignee. ### Review Reviewers will either accept or reject the submission. Accepted submissions are merged into the appropriate repo on https://github.com/cadCAD-org/ and the appropriate Assignee(s) will be rewarded to their wallet ### --- ## Proposals Anyone can socialize ideas and draft initiatives. Submissions require involvement of at least one Active Member in order to submit the proposal for a funding review with The cadCAD Foundation. ### Drafting Proposal drafts can be issues in a public cadCAD repo that can undergo discussions and iterations ### Submission The proposal is submitted Only reviewed for funding if the proposal is attached to an Active Member to champion. ### Funding Funds are disbursed to Active Members ### Review --- ## Active Member Verification Active Member Verification is equivalent to becoming "known" to the cadCAD community and serves as a form of attestation for skills commensurate to tasks in relevant bounties or proposals. It is required in order to receive any funds from cadCAD and to claim bounties Required for proposal grants ### Verification Whitelist cadCAD Foundation can manage a whitelist of Active Members containing: - all KYC AML data - github IDs - wallet adress - notes ### Verification Process 1) Prospective members submit a form 2) cadCAD Foundation Administrators can manually add - guideline to gain status - intro in discord - participate in community call - git - active members vouch - maintaining status ### Future: Tags based on Skill Categories ## cadCAD Foundation Agreements w/ OSS To Dos copy for Active Member gov copy for proposals criteria
