Reading this will prove beneficial for your stay within this house. --- # **SECTION 1:** Introduction to House Harlaw House Harlaw is a house that resides within the Iron Islands. Founded by the late Theomore Harlaw, the house grew to become one of the most powerful houses to ever grace the Iron Islands. The Harlaws rule over the small island of Harlaw. There main base of operations is the Ten Towers; the brain child of Theomore, and where the houses throne resides. The current Lord of the house is Sir Rodrik Harlaw, with his cousin Sir Herras Harlaw, a Great Knight of Grey Garden who wields the Valyrian steel sword Nightfall, the heir of the estate. --- # **SECTION 2:** Rank Structure House Harlaw is ruled by Lord Rodrik of Harlaw, followed closely by his heir Sir Herras, as well as the appointed Castellan. **The Noble Class is as follows:** * Lord Rodrik Harlaw * Sir Herras Harlaw of Grey Garden * Castellan * Scythe Council * Allied Representative Members of the Noble class call all the shots. With this in mind, they are to be treated with the utmost respect. Orders from Castellan+ must be followed instantly, unless nullified by Lord Rodrik himself. Scythe Council and Allied Reps, while still to be treated with respect, do not associate themselves with any of the divisions or the military, and therefore should not give military orders, or order High Command around. **The second class is that of the High Command. This class consists of:** * The High Marshal * The Lord Commander The High Marshall oversees the base military, whilst the Lord Commander oversees the divisions (Scythe Guard, Dark Knights Order). Both of these ranks have supreme authority when it comes to Harlaw's military. No one below the rank of Castellan can tell them what to do in regards to the military. **The third class are the MRs, or Middle Rank. This class consists of:** * Scythe Guard (Division) * Dark Knights (Division) * Captain * Lieutenant * Master At Arms The 2 divisions sit in the Middle Ranks, followed by the Military High Ranks. The ranks Captain-Master At Arms provide order on the battlefield, as well as being responsible for trainings. The Scythe Guard and Dark Knights each have their own special responsibilities. **The last class consists of the low ranks. This class consists of:** * Serjeant At Arms * Footman * Recruit * Ironborn 3 low ranked military personnel and 1 peasant. The lower class is the backbone of Harlaw and the main driving force in the military. Each of these ranks, aside from Ironborn, are indebted to the Lord of the house, and with the help of their superiors, they will serve on the battlefield as the main fighting force. --- # **Section 3:** In Game Rules *When in game, you're expected to be mature, use grammar and behave.* When approached by a Lord/Lady, you will identify them as "M'lord / M'lady" When dealing with your superiors, you identify them by their rank. Uniforms are mandatory while on-duty. If you're to go off-duty, please say so in advance (tell your superior). --- # **Section 4:** Promotion Guide Promotions are recieved in 3 cases: 1. Promotion after trainings. 2. Promotion for valiant war efforts. 3. Promotion for distinguished service under Harlaw. --- # **Section 5:** Divisions The Lord Commander is allowed to pick whomever he sees fit, so much as it doesn't cross the member cap for each division. The Scythe Guard is the protection detail for Harlaw's Noble class. Distinguished efforts may get you in if the Lord Commander sees you as a candidate. The Order of the Dark Knights, or just Dark Knights, is an all-purpose combat unit that responds to a wide variety of problems concerning the Noble class. Valiant war efforts may get you in if the Lord Commander sees you as a candidate. --- # **Section 6:** Uniforms Different ranks have different uniforms.
