When users ask you about data management or need help in creating data management plans:
:::
Hi *NAME*
Here is some general information on Data Management Plans (DMP). If you haven't already, I suggest you read as much as you feel is needed from the links provided, and then open the below mentioned DMP tool at https://dmponline.deic.dk/ and go through the tool questionnaire, writing as much as you can.
Thereafter, and if needed, you are very welcome to reach out again, and we can meet (either in-person or on Zoom) to discuss any questions you might have.
Generally speaking a Data Management Plan makes you think about and reflect upon
* under which requirements do you need to create a Data Management Plan?
* what data you will use and where you get it from
* how you securely and trustworthy store your data during and after your project
* what infrastructure, software, licenses are needed
* what will be the output of your research
* how you will share your research outputs
To create a Data Management Plan, you could write a plan from scratch or based upon a template or you could use existing online tools. The latter makes it easy to modify, share and adapt to existing requirements.
One such tool is DMPOnline provided by DeiC at https://dmponline.deic.dk/. Another more advanced tool is https://ds-wizard.org.
Here is a set of links regarding data management, data management plans, protected data, and FAIR data.
