## Summary of CHCAA's Code of Conduct ##
### Expected behaviors ###
We are dedicated to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all people, regardless of background or identity. By collaborating with us, participating in event organized by, or using a platform developed or maintained by CHCAA, you accept to abide by CHCAA's Code of Conduct and accept the procedures by which any Code of Conduct incidents are resolved. Any form of behavior to exclude, intimidate, or cause discomfort is a violation of the Code of Conduct.
In order to foster a positive and professional research and leaning environments, we encourage the following kinds of behaviors in all platforms and events:
* Use welcoming and inclusive language
* Be respectful of different viewpoints and experiences
* Gracefully accept constructive criticism
* Focus on what is best for the everyone
* Show courtesy and respect towards other people irrespective of position or role
### Unexpected behaviors ###
Unexpected behaviors include but not limited to:
* written or verbal comments which have the effect of excluding people on the basis of membership of any specific group
* causing someone to fear for their safety, such as through stalking, following, or intimidation
* violent threats or language directed against another person
* the display of sexual or violent images
* unwelcome sexual attention
* non-consensual or unwelcome physical contact
* sustained disruption of talks, events or communications
* insults or put downs
* sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or exclusionary jokes
* excessive swearing
* incitement to violence, suicide, or self-harm
* continuing to initiate interaction (including photography or recording) with someone after being asked to stop
* publication of private communication without consent
### Consequence of violation of Code of Conduct ###
Collaborators and participants who are asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately. This applies to any events and community space organized by CHCAA. If a collaborator or participant engage in behaviour that violates this code of conduct, the CHCAA team member(s) may warn the offender, ask them to leave the event (without refund, if applicable), or set up an incident-specific CHCAA Code of Conduct Committee to investigate the Code of Conduct violation and impose appropriate sanctions.
### Incidence report ###
If you feel that the Code of Conduct was violated in an event organized by CHCAA, no matter if it is online or in physical space, please notify the host of the event or CHCAA's Code of Conduct facilitators [Line Ejby Sørensen](mailto:line@cas.au.dk?subject=[Code-of-Conduct]%20Incidence%20Report) and [Kristoffer L. Nielbo](mailto:kln@cas.au.dk?subject=[Code-of-Conduct]%20Incidence%20Report). If the incident happened in a virtual platform developed or maintained by CHCAA, or if you are asked to, or if you feel uncomfortable to notify directly to the host or a Code of Conduct facilitator, please complete [this form](https://survey.au.dk/LinkCollector?key=D5F6MHL9SKCJ) to report the incident. All reports can be treated confidentially, if stated, and submitted anonymously through the submission form (or email alias).
CHCAA's Code of Conduct facilitators have access to reported incidents. We do not yet have a separate Code of Conduct committee, but we may set up an incident-specific committee, if reported incidence is deemed to require it.
