# Install ArcGIS pro ## Install To install ArcGIS Pro on your Personal Computer, refer to the following instructions. The installers for several versions of ArcGIS Pro can be download from 'communityhub.purdue.edu'. The links below will take you to the installers for the respective version. • ArcGIS Pro 2.4 (new on July 2, 2019) • ArcGIS Pro 2.3 (new on January 28, 2019) Licensing Instructions NAMED USER LICENSE (PREFERRED FOR INDIVIDUAL COMPUTERS; REQUIRED FOR STUDENTS USING ARCGIS PRO ON NON-PURDUE OWNED COMPUTERS) For this method, you must first have an account on Purdue's ArcGIS Online Organization. (Think of this as a named license server.) Procedure to create your ArcGIS Online account if you do not already have one is: • Go to: https://purdueuniversity.maps.arcgis.com. • Sign in using your Purdue Career account; use the 'USING YOUR PURDUE UNIVERSITY ACCOUNT' button on the login page. • Your online account will be set up automatically the first time you log in; there will be no forms to complete. Your ArcGIS Online account name will be based on your Purdue career account name; it will be something like ... xxxx@purdue.edu_purdueuniversity. After creating your ArcGIS Online account, you should automatically have access to ArcGIS Pro. (If access is refused, send an email to itap@purdue.edu requesting that your account be configured to use ArcGIS Pro.) If needed, download the ArcGIS Pro Installer and install the software. Note that ArcGIS Pro can be installed with any ArcGIS Desktop version. You may not need to install anything if you are using Purdue Lab machines. The instructions for signing in after opening ArcGIS Pro are: • Be sure to select the 'Enterprise Account' button near the bottom of the ArcGIS Pro login page to enter your Purdue Career Account. • On the next page, enter 'purdueuniversity' in the space provide so that the complete url is: purdueuniversity.maps.arcgis.com and then select continue. • Then select the 'Using Your Purdue University Account' button. To Remotely Log in to HAMP1212, use the following instructions: The computers in HAMP1212can ONLY be accessed remotely. Install ECN Remote Availability Protocol Handler at https://slic.ecn.purdue.edu/downloads/ECNRemoteAvailabilityProtocol.msi 3. Visit: https://slic.ecn.purdue.edu/public/remoteavailability 4. Scroll down to find LABS/ENGR/CE/HAMP1212 5. Select one of PC01 to PC48 that is available. 6.
