## Weekly announcement : every Monday

## Post release slack announcement
- Update the googlegroup `[e-mail]` with the release update. Check with the release team if the email was sent, if it didn't check with maintainers to unblock your email.
- We also post the a slack message briefly covering the highlights of the release.

#### Release notes template
- We generate release notes by following the steps at [CAPI Release tasks for Comms team](https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/cluster-api/blob/main/docs/release/release-tasks.md#polish-release-notes).
- We then polish the release notes. Here is an example for [v1.4.0 release notes example](/QCDnw-HpQuSRfN1ltzT5Yw).
